Car Enthusiast Club [Now Motorcycle friendly!] - First thread to 150k! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Don't lump me in with them. I'm an enthusiast of mechanic design, be it engines, weaponry, or productive machinery. Not a guy with a wrench that reads the marketing garbage AFE/insert other "enthusiast" brand that can't legally warranty half of their products.

I fail to see a correlation between people screeching variations of "forced induction is more efficient!!! Reclaimed energy!!!" and anything I've said.

If you can't be civil. Please leave

Edit. That goes for everyone in the thread

she was still learning tho. BUT! She hasn’t driven since so she’s probably scarred for life haha

You know you have your engine tuned properly when the rumble sets off car alarms as you drive by

Sometimes I think F1 in general is too uptight about itself

Media tearing Verstappen apart repeatedly because of an otherwise "racing incident" in any other series, with his defence being "I think it's easy to blame the younger driver" and "why should change my driving style." Granted this is nowhere near as bad as Kvyat but man it would be nice to move on and just let them race.

Gasly also got teared apart, but by Spanish media and fans specifically, for his yoke on the cooldown lap but instated that he has huge respect for Alonso and it was by no mean derogatory in manner. Credit where credit is due, Honda did a great job last weekend.

Very (very!) briefly I had a Yamaha FZR 600, one of the world's first "superbikes"

Yamaha.png

Way, *way* too much bike for me. I still walk with a slight limp from that bike. It's in very tiny parts right now somewhere in a motorcycle graveyard.

I was lucky, and that was it for me and bikes. I do appreciate them and still want a Ducati 915

Just for a decorative piece, but riding one bike was enough....

Max was ahead of Lewis. There were many cars all going for position in a bottle-neck situation. It was a racing incident, plain and simple. What Lewis said after the race was just a knee-jerk comment (I lol'd when I heard him say it). I agree, they're making way more of this than what it was.

but the ND looks better lol

Besides, if one was getting a miata for a track car they probably wouldn't get the hardtop version so im not sure it matters. Club model with LSD and brembo's and soft top is the way to go.
