Buying GPU soon need some suggestions.

So my current build looks like:

CPU: i3-4170

PSU: 550W

GPU: NONE

Case: Mid-Tower

So I have around $190 USD and no more. I am looking at a 1050 Ti on Amazon for around $170 but that GPU is currently out of stock and not that I am looking around for other 1050's they are more expensive. So I basically want to know is it work getting a 1050 Ti? Or maybe something lesser like a 980 or 750, if you guys could help me with this it would be much appreciated, thank you.

This is one that I was looking at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M27X994/ref=psdc_284822_t1_B01M4LR1WI

Please don't power a dGPU with that firebomb of a PSU. Even for a 1050 Ti you want something better built. Look for a CX450M and perhaps a used GTX 970.

Could u save a bit more and get lower end 1060?

Well 980 is perform close to 6GB version of 1060 but its old and consume more power or it could be no longer has a warranty.

750 is a weak card dont buy that one if u have $190 budget.

And yes change that PSU it will explode, burn your house and everyone you love.

If you can get a cheap used 980/390 go for that

Otherwise would suggest saving up a bit while GPU prices settle, then find a $200 RX 570 on sale

Or buying a Raven Ridge APU when they drop soon to get a 4c/8t CPU and decent iGPU for your money.

Oh wait ya replace the housefire PSU ASAP

Cool. Don't power a GPU with your fire hazard PSU. Replace it with the $190 in your pocket. A CX450M can easily be found for under $30 with rebates quite often and can cozily power a GTX 980 which your current PSU cannot do.

Then save up the 10 dollars to prevent your house from catching fire at worst, or your PSU dying at best.

Seriously, that PSU is a fire hazard. DO NOT POWER A GPU WITH IT

Is it that hard to find $10 in lawn-mowing?

I got my GTX 970 used for $150 over a year ago now. I'm sure you could find one used for about that much and afford a CX450M with what you have if you wait for sales and look around on Craigslist on Ebay.

an i3 at 2 cores 3.7ghz is perfectly fine to me all I really need is a GPU and I will date my CPU when I want to rebuild my pc, because currently, I think my motherboard is cracked.

Your CPU is mostly fine for 60hz gaming, but the GPU market is terrible right now, and you need a new PSU

Do you already have an adapter then? Because I'm pretty sure no modern GPU supports analog natively, even then you can have some issues with getting your native resolution

I would possibly suggest finding a decent used GPU, then buying a new powersupply before putting it in your system

970/290 or above

That's too much for a 1050/RX 560, you'd want those at like $100

If you aren't looking for a used GPU go for a 1050ti around $150-160 since RX 570s are screwed up for now
