I don't know how people deal with shit on their desktops.

Most of the time I have My Computer, Network, Recycle Bin, and then Skyward (so I can check my grades for school). That's it. And of course a very simple Rainmeter config.

@thekeemo @djdwosk97 Why do you keep your recycle bins on your desktop? You can put them in "my computer" with a simple registry edit. Makes it so much cleaner.

(registry patch files at the bottom of the article. No need to enter it manually)

Thank you so much for this! I would always manually type in "Recycle Bin" in the Explorer search bar and that was so annoying!

The trash doesn't really bother me too much, knowing that it's not empty bothers me more actually...Plus I almost always have something covering it.

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

When I get lazy, I might have six icons on my desktop. Ordinarily I only have the trash can, Chrome, and a folder for games. I keep Chrome purely for aesthetics considering I keep it pinned in the task bar.

When I was way into graphics, half or more of my desktop was a dedicated image dump. Made me wish I had a second monitor.

Look up Rocket Dock. It's an idea similar to the dock on OSX. I enjoy them but I prefer a taskbar considering how rarely I pin applications.

I have a temporary install of Windows on my WD Blue right now (overclocking and junk), since I hope on getting a Hyper 212 EVO for Christmas to overclock more, and I just dump things to the desktop, install them while I browse the web, and I have yet to defrag it. It takes FOREVER to boot and sign in. I wonder why...
