Can someone with a GTX 970 run a benchmark for me

My Gigabyte Windforce 970 out of the box it runs around 1320MHz and can overclock to 1550MHz. Out of the box my GTX 1080 runs at around 1990MHz, and can overclock to around 2050MHz. The 970 is on the higher end of the silicon lottery, while the 1080 is mediocre.

GTX 970 Windforce, stock (boosted to 1315 MHz).

Like I said, 970s struggled to get more than 1500, mine with bios mod and on water ran 1518 (although I had 2 on sli, that is what I needed for both to be stable), whilst 1550 is doable, 1650 seems like an exaggeration

my 1089 boosts to 2050 without any overclocking (on water, palit gamerock premium) and can do over 2100

Over 2100? The highest I've gotten my 1050Ti FTW to do is 2055, but the Kernel Mode driver crashes any higher.

Fuckin' Pascal. Jesus.

I've gotten my 550Ti up to 1350Mhz, but it gets too hot for any of the coolers I have.

I have an FM3 cooler soldered onto the Maxwell/Pascal base plate (I got it from my 1050Ti SSC that popped too many caps), but have yet to test it.

Cooling has little to do with my 1050Ti crashing. Even while playing Fallout 5 on Ultra, when at the top of the Corvega Factory (well know performance problem location) it stays below 60C. Throttle temperature is set to 97C.

If I could set core clock +1000...I'd have a 2.45GHz 1050Ti that would probably destroy a stock 970. Lol.

well technically it would "if" Nvidia allowed us to adjust the voltage to the card by more than a penny ... but ye its the lack of volts causing your issues. My point been about water is that the standard NVidia boost (at least for my 1080) is based on temperature, so it sit at a constant 2050mhz (not clocked)

Voltage doesn't  help on pascal until the core temps are down under 10c, max....even then, it's marginal gains.  Above that?  Waste of time.

Get them colder.....the colder they run, the higher they'll boost and the better they'll run when they get there.

That is at stock clocks, if you've been paying attention to the WHOLE FUCKING THREAD you'd know mine's heavily overclocked.

An OVERCLOCKED 1050Ti can perform as well if not better than SOME 970s.

How do you not know that READING THE WHOLE THREAD is PROPER FORUM ETIQUETTE? SERIOUSLY, IT'S NOT HARD.

real gaming performance in game, showed in youtube, confirm this. and theres no way overclocking a gpu gets you 50% more performance... so even if you reach 15% ( which is almost never achievable , more probable to be 1 to 10% gains ) there's absolutely no way a 1050 ti performs as good or better than  a 970

Gotta love this ass clown.

Faking scores.

So now your 1050Ti is not only faster than a 970, it's also faster than the fastest overclocked GTX 1070.

On top of that your score is higher than the FPS shown, 28 average, 8 minimum, 65 maximum.

So driver tweaks, messing in config files, and some lovely photoshop work.

What else? your Nissan Micra 1.0 liter is faster in a straight line than a Bugatti Veyron?

Over 2100? The highest I've gotten my 1050Ti FTW to do is 2055, but the Kernel Mode driver crashes any higher.

Fuckin' Pascal. Jesus.

I've gotten my 550Ti up to 1350Mhz, but it gets too hot for any of the coolers I have.

I have an FM3 cooler soldered onto the Maxwell/Pascal base plate (I got it from my 1050Ti SSC that popped too many caps), but have yet to test it.

its because your 1050ti is heavily binned
