I'm glad that my OnePlus 5 doesn't have that issue. It's been nothing but a great experience so far.

I've been trying to reproduce this on my oneplus 5 and have not seen anything close to what is shown in the video. This must be a software bug. Maybe on unupdated phones as there have already been a few updates released. Non issue on my phone.

Case: Phanteks Evolve X with ITX mount  cpu: Ryzen 3900X 4.35ghz all cores Motherboard: MSI X570 Unify gpu: EVGA 1070 SC  psu: Phanteks revolt x 1200W Memory: 64GB Kingston Hyper X oc'd to 3600mhz ssd: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB ITX System CPU: 4670k  Motherboard: some cheap asus h87 Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz

Just an fyi, there is no link to that article in the main post. That article also doesn't tell me anything more than what was written in the main post. Scanning direction really doesn't matter much either. If it was really that big of a problem, landscape would look horrendous. I still dont think this is a hardware issue. It is not experienced by everyone.

the Reddit thread you posted has half of the people complaining about how they have it but they really don't care, and the other half is how they don't notice it. 

 

edit- this is getting silly, if you are happy with your phone good for you. i was showing a bad hardware choice they made, just because you don't notice it, that doesn't mean everyone else shares your view.

the LCD decided to leak (either that or somebody took the phone while i was asleep then waterboarded it, then dried it off then put it next to me again)

it happened overnight and that phone was on my bed, which is dry ..

Open the phone up and look at the water indicators, if they are red its water.

or just say the screen somehow got wet out of nowhere. Those pixels wouldn't work if the screen had "leaked"
