Amd vega vs gtx 1080ti ?

Come back a few months from now and ask again when vega actually exists.

 

If you want an answer right now, just flip a coin.

Heads, 1080ti is better, tails, Vega is better.

It will be as accurate as any other answer you can get right now.

We won't know until vega comes out. Looks right now that vega will be better for the price but probably not better performance. We will have to see benchmarks to know for sure. Probably worth waiting for it though.

Good chance max Vega  will at the very least compete with the 1080 ti.  Whether it will be  better or worse is in the air but I would say very, very close

well, say vega is 3 cards, one 1070 competitor, one 1080 competitor and one 1080ti competitor, the 1080ti would thus be better than 60% of vega. I doubt vega will be only 2 cards, might be 4 and I doubt they have multiple cards performing above the 1080ti level if any. So yeah

We are lucky if Vega beats 980 Ti, given the past history.

In linus video he play doom in 4k with 70 avg fps with amd vega , and 1080ti 4k reviews in doom avg fps 87. So I think 1080ti is better

I wouldn't trust anything until the product is released, AMD is pretty bad at creating too much hype, worst case being with the liquid cooler for 9590 release back in 14

That was confirmed to be Vega Frontier Edition which isn't even a gaming card, they have said there are gaming variants that are faster than the Vega FE but no one knows how much faster until it's launched.

Sorry tesla should be volta. Tesla is the booster for Volta, I say why amd wants to release vega first? Vega can be "killed" by NVidia because they learn the characteristics of Vega then

AMD kinda destroyed Vega hype at Computex earlier, the only hype left is from die hard fanboy.
