tell charter that you are leaving and let them persuade you to stay.

They fixed it.. Now I pull 4Mb/s down and 1Mb/s up except my upload is almost always .8Mb/s.. Still decent for satellite. Hey, at least you can actually do livestreaming in 480p with .783Mb/s. I was personally shocked at how well that worked for streams. They were talking about putting a tower in my backyard as its quite flat without many trees and has an open field right next to it but never got back to us with doing that.

My ping is usually from 32-46 with these spikes to the 50s.. I'm on wireless having to run through a wall.

3904378028.png

Ping is usually lower.

Alright, I'm from Australia and I have two internet connections. One is 200kb/s on average and the other is around 1.3mb/s. So obviously the 200kb/s one is just unbearable and I hate having to use it. However the 1.3mb/s one is fine for me and I don't have a problem with it. So my question is, is 1.3mb/s bad? Do you people in other countries have internet speeds way faster than this or am I just misinformed.

Thanks :3

I'm from NZ w/ a 'starter' fiber package that I need to upgrade. 30Mbps/30Mbps pretty reliable. Most of my friends have slightly better speeds than you, but not by much.

I get around 1MB/s in the morning and 200KB/s in the evening (probably because of internet traffic) upload speed 50-100KB/s (painfully slow for uploading YouTube vids)

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

35-45 down, and like 1 tenth of that up (so 3.5-4.5)

I've from north Scotland, I get 80/20 which I actually do get pretty close to getting in terms of real world speed and seem to get it very consistently I have to say. I'm pretty happy with it so far.
