Is reviving an old 775 system that only supports Pentium D's worth it?

It only costs like 2$, but is it worth it? I have extra ram, and HDD laying around, is it worth it though?

2 bucks for a Pentium D system is honestly a pretty good deal.

I've a pentium d 940 that I keep around just for fun. Its neat to have older hardware nearby to show off. Go for it!

sure, old PCs can be great fun. i would just go wild with the overclocking untill it breaks basically lol

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

a Pentium D youd be extremly lucky to get over 4.5GHz im pretty sure

Nitrogen cooling can work, and I suggest you throw some water on it when it hits 500 degrees Celsius.

I don't think you can, that a bummer...

 

Still, you can do some old school Windows XP gaming on the machine. Or use it as a Nas. There is quite a lot you can do with such a machine, and for 2$, that's not bad.
