Election time. Who are you voting for?

I'm Canadian, but I would vote for Trump purely because the end result would be funny. Endless news headlines of Trump doing or saying something hilarious each week would make for excellent small talk during breaks at work. I can't imagine the same if Hillary were to win. Email scandals just aren't very good for laughs.

 

Interestingly, my group of coworkers are overwhelmingly Hillary supporters. We're all university-educated ("college" for you USians) with at least a Bachelors.

Tbh i've also seen 2-3 of them last week and yes they are mostly sensational but the issue i mostly have is how the media here handles the whole election thing.

And hilary, well, this morning they said the whole e-mail FBI thing is nothing special and nothing to worry about because even tho everything was on a not very well secured e-mail server, all was fine.

 

But as most people on this forum it's perfectly possible that the server was breached and everything got stolen, but i got the impression that the radio station was sure that didn't happen while they can't possibly know that.

 

Also they said a few months ago north korea doesn't have internet which is also completely false.

I'm just sick of it tbh, that's why i stopped following the news like i used to, it's mainly clickbait and BS anyway.

In all seriousness though, the voters should have more choice than just two candidates, more choice means a better chance of someone good being voted right? It's unfortunate that it always comes down to just 2 candidates, instead of more candidates having an equal chance of winning the election...

To be fair, the grand majority of North Koreans don't have Internet except for a few in their government. I also remember reading something a few months ago that their internet connection went down for a period of time.

I think that Clinton won't spoil the first female presidency. We don't need them to do anything incredible because there should be women presidents and we shouldn't hold them to a different standard. Trump would kick eleven million minorities out of the country, stop an entire religion from entering the country, hurt LGBT people and people of color, build a costly wall with Mexico, lower taxes on the 1%, and countless other terrifying things. Hillary is a politician with actual plans that help people in need.

You obviously haven't heard him correctly because he does not want to ban an entire religion. Restricting travel to places of war regardless of what religion someone is does not mean he's banning an entire religion from entering this country, from anywhere. But hearing the truth is harder than believing bullshit you're told.

Don't forget, the ultra wealthy don't pay full taxes anyway. Between trusts, foundations, and every other loophole in the tax laws, they don't need any help in not paying taxes.

Yeah, it really doesn't make any difference for them. Only benefit of his tax plan is lowered taxes for everyone else, not great for government revenue but they kinda waste the money anyways sooo.. eh fuck it that's a different discussion.

I disagree. Tho he hasn't shown the most respect, voting in Hillary would be a terrible thing to do for Women. 

 

I am 100% not against Women President. I don't think a lady president would be appropriate either, I'd want a fighter. Hillary is NOT a fighter for us, she is for herself. Like many have joked, "Obama is the LAST black president," hillary will probably be the last woman president too.. 

 

Women need a chance, but I think voting for someone because they are a women is Sexist. Hillary is not for women.
