Did you know that on a modern cinema projector that runs film at 24fps, the shutter actually shows each frame 3 times so the film appears to be running at 72fps, even back in the day they would have a shutter flash each image twice for 48fps

Hell Thomas Edison said 48fps was needed for a smooth viewing experience!

I can tell the difference between 30 and 60 fps, obviously. But I can't really tell if something is over 60 fps. I really just think that developers should just try to hit a constant 60 fps, and then just keep it constantly there, and worry more about graphics.

I was once at my uncles house, he lives like 18 hours away. 18 hours of driving all highway at 70mph. He is a hardcore PC guy. I was playing GTA V on his PC which from what I remember was a i5-4670k and 970s in SLI. Well after about a week of playing at a constant 100fps at 1080p for a few days, I went home and started playing GTA v on a Ps4. Nearly threw up.

yes the added smoothness is deifnitely noticeable once you get used to it. if you have a 144hz monitor just change it to 60hz and move your mouse cursor around fast and you will see its less smooth

Humans eyes aren't fast enough to detect changes at the speed of light. Persistence of vision (a result of photo receptor cells lagging in their ability to convert photon pulse to a nervous message) means that the eyes do not react quick enough to be able to discern below 100FPS.  As I have said before it is usually about 60 FPS although with training and good eyes some people can detect higher.

Grammar and spelling is not indicative of intelligence/knowledge.  Not having the same opinion does not always mean lack of understanding.

If the frame rates are 100% smooth, i can tell the difference up to 60, but generally nothing more. I've never been able to experience anything on a monitor with 120hz or more though...

Typically after 90fps the diminishing returns begin.  120 to 144 isn't always noticeable but some people do take note of it.  30 - 60 is a huge leap and a linear one in terms of how good it becomes.  60 - 90 is just crisper.  90 - 120 is, personally, for myself; when I can't notice it as much anymore.  Pixel density on the other hand is noticed even at 115ppi.  All I want in life is a 5120x2880 27" G-sync/freesync, 120hz monitor.  That's all :-:

Don't even start it. The human eye doesn't even SEE IN FPS. You can easily tell the difference from 30 to 60 to even 75 and all the way up to 144

I notice a huge difference when I set my monitor to 120 hz, meaning that the human eye can see past 60 hz. Although I'm not sure if you're trolling.
