@JDE Have you used Bitfenix in alot of your builds and how long is the warranty? Seasonic has a 12 year warranty.

Seasonic G series only has a warranty of 5 years https://seasonic.com/rma/

 

while Bitfenix Whisper has 7 https://www.bitfenix.com/global/en/products/power-supplies/whisper-m

 

Personal recommendation is usually not a good way to evaluate a PSU.

If a PSU that has been professionally reviewed as bad but a lot of people used it and are fine with it does it make a unit any better? No.

Yes, yes you should, it's a better PSU with a longer warranty, no reason to get the G Series if you can get a whisper M...

EVGA 450 B3 review, it's less-than-impressive http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/evga-450-b3-psu,5160.html below my expectations. It's like they only care about performance and don't really care for build quality that much.

You could just set the 450w version to T5 and keep the 750w version at T3

If they had working OPP that all wouldn't have happened and that EVGA better. But that's not to say we shouldn't ignore the sleeve bearing fan nonetheless, as well as the bad soldering since Superflower is outsourcing production.
