Still trying to buy a non founders 1080.

Slowly dying.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

I was about to complain about my pet peeve - incorrect letter case for units in this case for denoting memory clock, but upon closer inspection the 'BPS' in '8 GBPS' are slightly smaller than the 'G'.

I'm not exactly happy about how close they are, but at least whoever makes the graphics knows the difference.

I love how channels that have less than 50k subscribers benchmark over 10 times more games than him, didn't even include Time Spy or min 1% etc. Use those resources...

its really more of an overview with LTT, rather than reviews. not a bad thing per say from a business point of view when a big chunk of the audience have never held a graphic card in their hands, plus Linus probably has a dozen custom 1060's being thrown at him to look at as well.

no DX12 tests? that is sad since DX12 is supposed to increase in usage.

May the light have your back and your ISO low.

Any chance of benchmarks with crossfire RX480 vs the 1060?

Am I the only one or do these "reviews" keep getting shorter and less in-depth?  No DX12 comparisons? No power comsumption tests? How about noise levels? Idle temps?  Just like your RX480 "review", this video feels really barebones.  Minus all the outro and intro, the actual "review" is only around 4 min long.

Heck, your old unboxing videos goes more in depth than this.

I am kind of disappointed, actually.

So basically if you can afford just a little bit more get the 1060 for better performance, but for the price the 480 is better     k

So it seems Nvidia is not really releasing a competing card to the 480  yet, maybe a 1050 Ti to get a more competitive price? I am also very excited to see the 490 and how that compares to 1070/1060.

Disgusting video trying as hard as possible to exclude everything relevant (DX12 and Vulkan) WOW

Never clicking one of your videos again.

If this kind of paid reviews are what it takes to stay alive as a Youtube channel then I pity your jobs. But you should disclose if Nvidia paid you to not test DX12 or Vulkan, because if you did the internet will find out sooner or later.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

dx12 and vulcan are not relevant yet, though important includes, they rarely make a hardware review that feels like they included everything important.

LMG doesn't do hardware reviews. Overviews at best. I highly doubt they're shills.

Agreed, I've recently included DX12 and Vulkan on my Nerf Hunt series, only for reference, not really interested in it as I've seen little to make me believe it's actually a thing at the moment. In the future yes when everybody got the implementation sorted out yes...

well you can get a cheaper RX 480 and if you aren't satisfied, you can slap another one in there and be on the heels of a 1080... the 1060 almost doesn't make sense if you as me.

So apparently the 1060 FE logo DOES light up. I got mine today and it lights up and it nearly scared me as I wasn't expecting it xD
