I don't know. I feel like you're really only talking about Shallow girls, or on the flip side, everyone.

 

I know that I would (not so secretly) rather step out of a BMW then my Jetta. I love my car, and I'm a proud owner, but if I could trade it in for An Aston Martin DB9, that'd be cool with me.

 

My fiancee is really into classic cars - and by classic, I mean 40's, 50's, and early 60's. She likes muscle cars too, but most modern performance cars/sports cars she finds too generic looking.

In my old car, (1999 Buick Regal V6), while I was driving around with my gf and her friend one time, her friend started lighting up a bowl of weed in the back seat. Granted, we were driving around Rural Back roads, so I wasn't exactly worried about cops or anything, but holy shit, I friggin lost it. I was so fucking mad. How dare someone start smoking inside a decently well kept car without asking permission first. A cigarette would have been bad enough, but the smell of weed clings so much more strongly.

it's seriously clean, especially for a 14 year old car. i mean i vacuum it as much as i can, but i don't wash the carpets like on a light colored interior car, because it's a black interior, and stains aren't as obvious. but still, i take pride in a clean car. and those parts are for me just to relieve my stress a little because hearing that engine just soothes me. stock exhaust and intake just robs power and enjoyment.

 

nobody in my family smokes, and i don't have friends who smoke, so i like that. and once in a while i will eat food in my far, but i have air fresheners in my car to eliminate the smell. and if i do have friends who smoke weed in my car, i would just again use an air freshener to mask the smell for now until i come up with something permanent.

As far as the weed smoking goes - trust me, you cannot mask the smell. All air fresheners will do is make your car smell like weed AND air fresheners.

 

Not a problem if you like the smell of both, but it's not exactly ideal lol. The only way to prevent the smell is if they were smoking it using vaporizers - and even vapes still produce a bit of smell. Best just to pull over to a nice shady spot somewhere, and smoke the bowl outside if it must be done (And, of course, you wouldn't be having any, since smoking and driving is just as bad as drinking and driving lol)

Spending all your money and getting into a debt at 18 just for a car to impress women isn't the smartest idea. Buy a solid car for 5-6k and drive it till it falls apart you would be glad in the long run.

But really, in all seriousness @Straudz, an 18 year old doesn't need and probably shouldn't get a 40K car or a huge truck with excessive power. Any normal, reliable, vehicle will do just fine. If you like sporty then pick a used sports car. If you like classy then pick a used foreign car. If you like classic then pick a muscle car. If you want utility a crossover or truck are great choices (and some crossovers can be decently sporty).

What's more important is that you get something that satisfies three requirements: You can be proud of it, you can take care of it, and most importantly you can safely drive it. Respectable girls are more likely to care about your responsibility and confidence than they are to notice the quality/type of your car.

Okay, I probably have the most experience here. Just saying, because I work at an auto shop and I work on hundreds of cars.

 

Most 'high end' women drive Mercs. Some drive BMWs, a few drive Audis. Guys that have a 'high end' woman with them usually drive a big muscle-y Camaro SS or Corvette, or their lady friend came along with their Merc.

 

The more recognizable the brand, the more 'luxury' it is of a brand, the more you'll pick up chikz.  But actual car guy stuff like the BRZ and STI and 240SX and stuff, not really. Women don't know what it is, because it's not a German luxury car.

 

Just a tip.

 

EDIT: BY THE WAY, I saw Cadillac somewhere in this thread. Crappy cars. Really. I ripped the door handle off of a new Escalade once. They are really shoddy in quality despite their name. And the only dudes I see driving Caddys are old dudes, or their wife is driving it and it's an Escalade. Stick with a German make, they seem to be the most popular.

It looks decently taken care of. Make sure to check the top out very carefully. They are expensive to replace, and easy to damage. According to KBB the price is just right, maybe a little underpriced. If the top is in good condition and there are no hidden mechanical problems, looks like a good deal.

For those saying that only hoes and whores are attracted to material things like nice cars, that's a partial truth.

 

Being able to show wealth is considered a sign of success. Yes, it will attract gold diggers but it will also attract normal and intelligent women. It shows that you have financial stability, which is a positive and attractive trait. While I agree it's silly to spend all your money on a car in hopes to attract women, it does work.

 

As to suggestions. Get a Mercedes or an Audi. Not a BMW though.
