With the Rx 480 coming out tomorrow Nvidia competing card should hopefully be on its way.

We are getting a glimpse of the card for starts from Hong Kong.

Nvidia's upcoming GTX 1060 GPU has been Pictured in Hong Kong, with an all new GPU cooler shroud and a black/silver aesthetic.

Sadly very little is known about this GPU, but previous leaks suggested that it will use a cut-down version of the Nvidia GP-104 GPU core. Alternatively, this GPU could be using a new GPU core design from Nvidia (GP-106?), which will act as a successor to the GM-206 Maxwell GPU core that was used in the GTX 960.

I actually kinda like this design even more than the 1080/1070 coolers.

WOW.

This should have been the design for the 1080 flagship.

I really like this design actually, the black looks super good together with the aluminium color. I agree with you, looks (much) better than the GTX 1070/1080 coolers.

Anyways, I wonder how it will perform compared to the RX 480 (which I would assume is going to be its rival, otherwise the RX 470 will be)

What? Anything against AMD?

Competition is always good for the consumer, especially seeing now that the Polaris series GPU's are not going to be as cheap as they first said (at least in Europe)

The black looks like plastic and the gray/silver looks like plastic too to me. Doesn't really bother me personally (not that I am going get that card)

Yeah... still like the overall design better than the 1080/1070 though, but not surprised if they have a significant downgrade in materials.

Design is better but if they ask 300$ for a plastic Flamethrower Edition I'd skip it.

If it really is a very cut-down GP104 chip, what kind of disgustingly bad yields are Nvidia getting and why isn't this card out already? 100% certain it's a different chip.

You know what's easier than buying and building a brand new PC? Petty larceny!
If you're worried about getting caught, here's a trick: Only steal one part at a time. Plenty of people will call the cops because somebody stole their computer -- nobody calls the cops because they're "pretty sure the dirty-bathrobe guy from next door jacked my heat sink."
