GTX 1080M Specs revealed! What a shame.....

No, you literally cannot.

980's have to be very cold to do 1600+ (we're talking 20-30c load), and almost none of them do 1600 24/7, let alone in benchmarks.

You've obviously no experience with 980 overclocking, let alone using any kind of common sense.

My 1700 MHz GTX 970 and friend's 1624 GTX 980, neither of which are below 60C say otherwise. I was able to push my friend's 980 to 1624 and it was stable in benchmarks

Edit: Oops laptop 980. Misread

Remember to quote if you want us to see your answer ASAP!

Yeah, not believing a laptop 980 can do that unless I see some solid proof.

Besides, if it's actually possible, it's impractical as fuck.

Since when are 150W GPUs in laptops practical? It's not like Nvidia put a hot chip in a small machine for it to be practical, they did it for bragging rights.

Anyway, I don't wanna get mixed in this crossfire (pun intended), both products seem fine to me until I see some real world aplication. We may think nvidia could have done better by putting a real desktop 1080 in a laptop, but who's to say they're not planing on doing that down the line calling it the 1080m ti , mobile titanor whatever. I woulnd't be surprised knowing nvidia's greedy practices. Or maybe there was something else stopping them, I don't know...

How can  it be the same core count as 980 and have more transistors lol???!!!!!

Slowly...In the hollows of the trees, In the shadow of the leaves, In the space between the waves, In the whispers of the wind,In the bottom of the well, In the darkness of the eaves...

Slowly places that had been silent for who knows how long... Stopped being Silent.
