First Patch since NDA for 2.4.0 has lifted

 

Updates and Fixes

Star Systems:

  • Updated the airlock door decals in Port Olisar.
  • Removed the extra shop NPC in Garrity Defense.
  • Made changes to shop NPC AI in Port Olisar and ArcCorp.
  • Added idle animations to shop NPCs
  • Made changes to the glow of the Vitamin D screen.
  • Updated lighting in the lounge area of Port Olisar.
  • Made additional tweaks to Port Olisars exterior lighting.
  • Tweaked the animations of all shopkeepers in game.
  • Changed the look of some decals in Kareah Station.
  • Fixed an issue where ship collision audio was playing continuously during the tutorial.
  • Re-positioned several quantum travel markers to better align with hidden Asteroid fields related to ICCProbe missions.

Hangar

  • Removed extra Hangar port mod nodes that were currently not being used.
  • Fixed an issue where the Freelancer and Vanguard Warden would have collision issues when both were spawned into the same Hangar.
  • Fixed several texture loading issues in Selfland.
  • Fixed several texture loading issues in Aeroview as well as some collision issues that would allow players to fall through the Hangar.
  • Rotated calendar flair item so that it better aligns with Hangar wall when placed.
  • Fixed Port Modification app placement mods for flair items in the Selfland, Aeroview and Industrial Hangars.
  • Game Systems:
  • Fixed an issue where players would see their characters spawn in dead or flying through space before respawning correctly.
  • The Port Modification App will no longer be visible in Arena Commander.

Ships:

  • Fixed an issue where chaff countermeasures were causing performance issues when used.
  • Fixed an issue where ship ports would remain on the landing pad after ship had taken off.
  • Fixed an issue where a ships thrusters could be heard from inside Port Olisar after spawning.
  • Made minor changes to the Sabre cockpit.
  • Fixed an issue where the Gladius was missing its damage states.
  • Fixed an issue where some decals in the Starfarer were upside down.
  • Made some additional visual tweaks to the cargo bay area of the Starfarer.
  • Fixed an issue where the pilot could fall out of the Starfarer when exiting the cockpit.
  • Fixed an issue where the P52 Merlin would automatically do a barrel roll when taking off from the landing pad.

First Person:

  • Tweaked how clothing fits on a character to help minimize clipping issues.
  • Made updates to jackets to help reduce shirts clipping through them.
  • Added new default jetpack to all flight suits.
  • Made visual updates to the first person helmet piece when wearing a flight suit.

User Interface:

  • Fixed an issue that was causing non-localized text strings to appear in the control customization window.
  • Added a display message to Item Ports to warn players when the item cannot spawn until the player moves far enough away, which manifests as “Item Pending”.
  • Added “No Port Selected” message to Port App when it is accessed through mobiGlas.
  • Removed non-localized text from the purchase UI window.

Technical:

  • Fixed a client crash.
  • Fixed a number of server crashes.
  • Fixed the issue with the server soft capping the server at 12-16 instead of 24.
  • Fixed a client crash when attempting to start a Spectrum match in Arena Commander.
  • Fixed an issue where player could get looping black screen during spectating mode in Vanduul Swarm Drone Sim.

Star Citizen PTU 2.4.0h Patch Notes

 

Updates and Fixes

Star Systems:

  • Fixed an issue where player would sometimes immediately die after re-spawning in Port Olisar.
  • You can no longer pull your weapon out and fire it in Mile High Club.
  • Fixed an issue where characters could take damage when entering/exiting their ship, while on a landing pad.
  • Fixed an issue where clones of player would appear when player logged in.
  • Fixed an issue where trophy ports inside of trophy display case were not rotated correctly.
  • Fixed an issue where some decals were missing off the walls in Revel & York at certain distances.

Game Systems:

  • Fixed an issue where some emotes were not animating properly.

Ships:

  • Made tweaks to the PyroBurst Shotgun based on 2.4.0 player feedback.
  • Fixed an issue where Constellation turrets could mistakenly be mounted on the Sabre.

First Person:

  • Updated “comes with” text in purchase window when purchasing the Sparrer Light Armor and MCA-mk2 Medium Armor.
  • Fixed an issue where it was difficult to interact with the port mod on any of the Pirate Armor in Garrity Defense.
  • Fixed some clipping issue while wearing a flightsuit.
  • Fixed an issue where purchased flighsuits were still missing snoopy cap.
  • Fixed an issue where players would have to repurchase a medi-pen if they previous unequipped it.
  • Fixed an issue where you would lose a magazine worth of ammo if you attempted to reload before you had completely expended a magazine.

Technical:

  • Fixed a client crash issue.
  • Fixed an issue where the game client would hang while player was flying around Port Olisar.

Star Citizen PTU 2.4.0i Patch Notes

 

Star Systems:

  • Fixed an issue where the shopkeeper NPCs were hovering above the floor in a ‘T’ pose.
  • Fixed an issue where players items (ammo, helmet, camera, etc) would sometimes become detached and float in midair.
  • Updated flight suit models in Cubby Blast with the new jetpacks.

Crusader

  • Made balance changes to the aUEC rewards for completing missions.
  • Capped the Criminal wanted level that a character can obtain for turning off Comm Arrays at 2, as opposed to the previous 5.
  • Fixed some issues preventing ICC Missions 2, 4 and 5 from being completed.
  • Fixed an issue where the character camera would float into the ceiling after a character respawned in Port Olisar.

Security Post Kareah

  • Added scavenging items around Kareah Station
  • Removed the 2 medikits from inside Kareah Station.
  • Increased the aUEC gain to 250 for killing trespassers on the Security Mission.
  • You can now receive the Security Mission again after 10 minutes if no other player accepts it.

Hangar

  • Fixed an issue where objects were floating off the wall in the Selfland Hangar.
  • Game Systems:
  • Fixed an issue where players could acquire items from shops without paying for them.
  • Fixed an issue where the helmet of characters would detach and float in mid air while player was trying on another flight suit.

Port Modification App

  • Fixed an issue that could allow character to accidentally change the wrong port mod node.
  • Now all other port nodes are temporarily disabled when one port mod is being updated.
  • Fixed an issue where Port Mod changes were not persisting between hangar and other modules after logout.
  • Fixed issues across all ship and flair ports so that unusable ports are not visible to players.
  • Fixed an issue where Port Mods were visible on the Greycat Buggy and could render it unusable.
  • For now, Port Mode have been removed from the Greycat.
  • Updated Port Mod UI to show if a ship or ship component is already spawned/attached to another location.

Ships:

  • Made additional balance tweaks to the PyroBurst Shotgun.
  • Fixed an issue where all weapons attached to a gimble were listed with the same name.
  • Fixed an issue where the self destruct countdown timer was not appearing correctly if ship was parked on a landing pad.
  • Fixed an issue with the Sabre where the throttle was floating on top of the cockpit.
  • Fixed an issue with the Hornet canard not having the right item size.
  • Fixed an issue where there was no audio for entering or exiting the Freelancer.

First Person:

  • Fixed an issue where using the burp emote would cause the character feet to slide.
  • Fixed an issue where the /bow emote was not working correctly.
  • Fixed a visual issue with depth of field when player was in first person.

User Interface:

  • Fixed an issue where the z input axis was not recognized by any joystick input.
  • Fixed an issue where player would be informed they evaded a missile even though the missile was still targeting the player.
  • Fixed an issue where the ship indicator would sometimes remain on screen after quantum travel.

Technical:

  • Fixed a crash issue related to starting an Arena Commander match.
  • Fixed an error code 7 disconnect issue while in an Arena Commander match.
  • Fixed several server crash issues.
  • Fixed several client crash issues.

2.4.0j Patch Notes

 

Star Systems:

  • Added a new Outlaw mission.
  • Once a player turns into an Outlaw, they will receive the following mission: “Keep the Comm Arrays Offline”
  • The Outlaw will be rewarded 500 aUEC every time they kill another player who is attempting to turn the Comm Array back on.
  • Credit will only be received by the Outlaw if they kill the opposing player before the Comm Array is turned back on.
  • Be aware that pirates will still attack Outlaw players.

Game Systems:

  • We have enabled ship respawn costs for Port Olisar!
  • Destroyed ships will now have a respawn timer after being destroyed.
  • Player can pay a aUEC fee to bypass the timer, and the cost to bypass the timer decreases over time.
  • With this initial iteration, all ships have a 5 minute respawn timer, and a initial cost to bypass of 2500-3000 aUEC.
  • In future iterations, the respawn timer and cost will differ from ship to ship.

Updates and Fixes

Star Systems:

  • Fixed an issue that was making it difficult to interact with the Pirate armor in Garrity Defense.
  • Added text fields for the Port Mod App so that nodes now convey their Type, Port Size and the currently equipped item in that node.
  • Fixed an issue with Port Modification where items that were used in multiple ports were not showing up on the list properly if already placed.

Game Systems:

  • Fixed an issue where unequipping a flight suit would cause the jetpack to disappear when flight suit was reequipped.
  • Chat window is now open by default (Toggle ‘F12’ to open/close window).
  • Added a notification when a player is killed by another player in Crusader.

Ships:

  • Made multiple fixes to the Hornet.
  • Damage states working better.
  • New graphical detail levels added.
  • Fixed landing gear door, right gun hardpoint and missile bay mesh positions.
  • Fixed how pilot hands connect to the joystick and controls of the Hornet.
  • Fixed cockpit lighting.
  • Removed some older animations that were lifting the nose of the ship.
  • Added improved canopy eject animations.

Technical:

  • Fixed multiple client crash issues.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing an infinite loading screen when attempting to connect to Crusader.

Impressive amounts of changes and fixes! Coming back to see the updates almost shocked me!

 

Any updates on the server side FPS issues though? It feels like it has been months without an answer or change.

Star Systems:

  • Tweaked the look of Live Wire in Port Olisar.
  • Fixed an issue where ships could not be respawned in Crusader if the player left and reentered the game.
  • Made some additional fixes for duplicate characters appearing in players EZ Hab.
  • Fixed an issue in the ICC Probe Mission 2 where players objectives were completing even though the player was outside the active area.
  • Removed the quest marker from players attempting to fix the Comms Arrays, during the mission “Keep the Comm Arrays Offline”.
  • Fixed an issue preventing the Freelancers from appearing in the correct Port Mod spawn node.
  • Fixed an issue in Selfland Hangar where placing a small ship would cause an extra ship port to appear.
  • Fixed an issue where Flair items could not be placed inside of Display Cases.

Game Systems:

  • We have made some updates to ship respawn costs!
  • The time to respawn and cost to bypass the respawn timer will now differ from ship to ship.
  • The timer will continue to countdown, even while player is logged out of Crusader.

Ships:

  • Fixed an issue where the Mustang Delta Rockets were not animating correctly when fired.

First Person:

  • Fixed an issue where the Marine and Outlaw flight suits and armor were missing EVA thrusters.
  • Fixed an issue where the players hair was clipping through their cap.
  • Fixed an issue where purchasable items were lacking shadows while on display in the store.

User Interface:

  • Fixed several gamepad legacy mapping bugs, particularly involving the left stick.
  • Fixed an issue to stop the Eject function from being mapped as double tap on the X55 joystick.
  • Fixed an issue where the CryAstro Repair/Refuel/Restock UI were overlapping the chat window.
  • Added a “LiveWorks AR” logo to the Port Modification UI window.
  • Made some additional tweaks to the formatting of text in and around the Port Modification reticle.
  • Tweaked the usability and visibility of ship component mod ports.

  • Fixed an issue where players would briefly see ‘insufficient funds’ text even though they had enough funds to respawn their ship.
  • Added an aiming reticle to the Port Mod App for easier usability.
  • Fixed an issue where audio dialogue would continue even after player died and respawned.

Ships:

  • Made additional balance tweaks to the PyroBurst.
  • Fixed an issue where you could not attach the Flashfire specialty mount to the Hornet series or Cutlass via the Port Modification App.

They are redesigning the network backend again so we won't see improvements till it's implemented

  • Fixed an issue in ArcCorp where players could jump over the railing, resulting in player death.
  • Changed the texture on the pistol display shelf in Garrity Defense and Cubby Blast.

Game Systems:

  • Fixed an issue where a players wanted level was not correctly capping at 2 when enabling and disabling Comm Arrays.
  • Fixed an issue with the ICC Probe Mission 4 not failing due to irregular pirate spawning.
  • Increased the reward for the Outlaw mission ‘Keep the Comm Arrays Offline’ from 100 aUEC per kill to 250 aUEC.

Ships:

  • Fixed an issue where the nose mount of the Avenger Series ship was not available after being removed.
  • For now, the nose mount hardpoint has been disabled in the Port Modification App.
  • Made additional improvements to the Pyroblast Scattergun performance and visual effects.
  • Fixed a clipping issue when certain missile racks were equipped to the Freelancer.

User Interface:

  • Fixed an issue where the chat window was on by default in the Tutorial missions.

Technical:

  • Fixed several server crashes.

  • Corrected the order in which the ICC Probe Research missions are offered to players.
  • Fixed some issues with wall mount flair item ports not being visible in the Hangar.

  • Fixed an issue where you could not change out the weapons on the turret of the Super Hornet.
  • Removed unused Port Mod hard points on the Retaliator.
  • Removed unused Port Mod hard points on the 300 series.

First Person:

  • Fixed an issue where players were missing ankles if wearing shoes without pants.

User Interface:

  • Fixed an issue where player HUD would become distorted after respawning from a ship death.
  • Fixed an issue where the Outlaw penalty UI prompt was still visible if the player switched from Crusader to ArcCorp.

  • Fixed an issue where salvageable items like Whiskey Bottles and Cigars were not respawning correctly.
  • Fixed an issue in Vanduul Swarm where enemy AI was spawning clumped together near the Terraformer.
  • Fixed an issue where flair items were not showing up in the Port Modification list if they had already been placed in a Hangar.
  • Fixed an issue where ships placed in the Hangar could be interacted with before they were completely spawned into the Hangar.

Game Systems:

  • Fixed an issue where character would slide slightly to the left after completing any other animation.
  • Fixed an issue where Store items could sometimes be purchased twice.

Ships:

  • Fixed an issue where the Xi’An Aopoa Khartu-al was missing its thruster audio.
  • Increased the amount of countermeasure ammo the Starfarer and Starfarer Gemini have by default.

PTU 2.4.0r Patch Notes

 

Updates and Fixes

Star Systems:

  • Fixed an issue where the jump point icon for ICC Probe mission 2 would disappear after the mission was completed.
  • Fixed an issue with that was preventing Arena Commander matches from starting in Dying Star.
  • When the Security Console Defender at Security Post Kareah disconnects, the mission to kill the defender will be withdrawn from the criminals.

Game Systems:

  • Players will be unable to exit the Ship Selector Console while their ship is still in the process of spawning.
  • Fixed an issue where your character would change to a T Pose when in an idle state and not holding a weapon.

Technical:

  • Client and server optimization.
  • Fixed multiple client crashes.
  • Fixed multiple server crashes.

PTU 2.4.0s Patch Notes

 

Updates and Fixes

Star Systems:

  • Disabled the Tutorial.
  • Fixed an issue where the “inspecting weapon” animation was very awkward for shopping try-on.
  • Fixed an issue at CryAstro Station where missiles were not restocking if the player left their ship cockpit during the restock process.
  • Fixed an issue where particles were not displaying correctly in Covalex Station.
  • Fixed an issue in Port Olisar where a player would become stuck after interacting with the Ship Spawn Terminal, and be unable to move until they spawned a ship.
  • Fixed an issue in Selfland where parts of the wall and floor would disappear when viewed at certain distances and angles.

Ships:

General Ships:

 

  • Made a change so that if a player has multiple of the same ship, they will be numbered sequentially.
  • Fixed an issue where firing a FPS weapon in the Starfarer was not damaging another player or the Starfarer.
  • Temporarily removed the pulsating orange emergency lighting fro the Starfarer.
  • Fixed an issue on the Hornet series where you were unable to switch out the cargo pod via Port Modification.

 

Mustang fixes:

 

  • Updated the Mustangs Series to have the proper Port Modification Ports.
  • Fixed an issue where the Mustang Series did not have the proper visual effects or audio when destroyed.
  • Fixed an issue with the Mustang Omega where it could not land properly for repair if its wings were damaged prior to landing.
  • Fixed an issue with the Mustang Gamma that was preventing players from exiting the ship if ship was damaged and on a landing platform.
  • Fixed an issue with the Mustang Beta where it had no rear lighting.
  • Fixed an issue with the Mustang Alpha where the exterior lights were not working.

 

User Interface:

  • Fixed an issue where UI was not correctly notifying player of Comm Array status, aUEC rewards and mission updates.

Technical:

  • Fixed a client crash.
  • Fixed multiple Server crashes.

Star Systems:

  • Fixed an issue where weapons and missiles were not being restocked on ships properly at CryAstro Station.
  • Fixed an issue where spawned ships in Port Olisar would first appear floating 50 meters above their designated landing pad.
  • Fixed an issue where textures were disappearing from certain angles in Selfland Hangar and ArcCorp.

Ships:

  • Fixed some reflection and flickering issues with the Starfarer cockpit glass.

First Person:

  • Fixed an issue with the inspecting weapons animation looking awkward in Live Fire and Cubby Blast.
  • Fixed an issue where inspecting rifle weapons would cause the rifle to clip into the players helmet.

User Interface:

  • Fixed an issue where the UI notification alerting users which landing pad to find their ship was missing.

Technical:

Fixed a server crash.

  • Fixed a client crash during Vanduul Swarm.
  • Fixed an error code 7 disconnection.

  • Fixed an issue where the Mustang Gamma and Omega had the wrong paint color.
  • Fixed an issue an issue where the Mustang Gamma and Delta where red boxes were showing up instead of the proper ship component.
  • Fixed an issue with the ladder being twisted after being deployed from the Mustang Gamma and Delta.
  • Fixed an issue where the cockpit control screen was offset in the Mustang Omega.
  • Fixed an issue where the textures appeared black on the Mustang Omega.

Thanks for keeping us updated on the patches! How does one go about buying armor/clothes and weapons to change to? I haven't gotten to play in months so I'm backlogged on info. lol

 

*I'm also quite disappointed to learn that they are not planning to address the fps issues (due to the servers) until far into beta. A good chunk of players cannot play due to now having Titans or 980s... :(*

There are shops in both ArcCorp (better not to buy stuff there as they don't transfer to mPU) and Port Olisar. Do missions and retrieve stuff from Yela wrecks to get aUEC to buy all the things.
