Considering that for most of us, the cooler is facing down in our cases, I really don't care what it looks like. I just care about what the side that is visible and what the back look like.

The pic looks photoshopped as heck. either way I couldn't care less what a card looks like if it delivers good performance and value.

I'm sure MSI, Gigabyte, Asus etc. will make theirs look so much better so i'm not too bothered

as posted here already, there are other pictures of the shroud. I agree that it is still to be treated as a rumor, but there's a high chance that it's real.

Am I the only one that doesn't like flat, square, black coolers with two fans?

I think it looks fine.

Of course, I don't like blower style coolers (in terms of performance and noise) so I wouldn't get one anyway.

we complained their coolers looked the same since gtx 690

they delivered

now we're complaining it looks ugly

 

nvidia can never win, thats why they should invest in a designer, not some 13 year old to do the job

This is just an example. Since most PC-related manufacturers tend to not have very good product design teams, it's hard to find a GPU that doesn't look at least a little shitty. Let me put it this way: look at this

and tell me which looks more elegant and well-designed. I find that most of these companies seem to think that the more their product looks like a sports car, the more we'll buy it. And frankly, it's pissing me off.
