Those cables jammed between the video card and hard drive bay are just sickening. You have to wonder if they would fray over time as they're very thin wires. 

 

Otherwise, pretty good. I don't know why they couldn't have thrown a 120mm exhaust in there it would have made a huge difference.

 

I kind of understand not including intake fans, have you guys seen what happens to intake fans with a dust filter that aren't cleaned over time? They turn into a complete mess, or worse, with no intake filter.

I see your point... I guess I am underestimating the number of people buying off the shelf computers. I am somehow of the opinion, that someone that needs such performance will actually invest some time in putting together a PC... but I guess I'm wrong.

The inside of that case took me back to the early 2000's. Chunky, immovable drive cages, green PCB for the motherboard, no cable management. The outside of the case is very early 2000's gamer case too. If it wasn't mATX, which wasn't so popular back in those days, it would look like something Linus picked up at free geek.

 

I guess it pitched at people, and the parents of people, who don't know that small boutique builders exist and offer a better product.

If I woke up and found that computer next to me, I would like, slooowly get out of bed, quietly put my clothes on, write a note that said, "call me sometime babe, <3 Linus", sneak the fck out, and then burn the whole damn house down. Ugly.

So I looked up the specs of the $2,000 one and decided to go look up the actual price for similar parts.

Y'all save a thousand dollars if you just buy all of this separate, including windows and having someone else build it for you.

You could probably get a prebuilt from Best Buy for less than this, that takes up less space and looks better.

The Predator G6 is simply not worth it. I live in Austria and if someone can confirm, that Nvidia won't release any more efficient graphics card than the high-end GTX 980 TI i will propably buy this system right here: https://www.csl-computer.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=11654&cPath=5_270&XTCsid=r1fukfbll399blfmtn2vu055n6
It features a 6700k i7, 32 Gigs of DDR4 RAM, a M.2 256 GB SSD, GTX 980 TI and even those little things like A Blu-Ray writer or a free copy of Windows 10. I think as a consumer i wouldn't be able to get those parts cheaper than they offer it (2000€; which is about the same Acer wants for the Predator G6) without stumbling across some discounts.

Well the PSU is a FSP 80+ gold model at least... Still though that is one ugly, overpriced, & under-performing PC IMHO. O.o I had to laugh when it started to hit 90C after 5 min of stress testing while OCed. xD Why even include the option of the dreaded "1 touch OC" when the PC can not handle the extra temps!? Which brings me to the lack of fans. Seriously WTF was Acer thinking just putting 1 single 92mm case fan on this, well technically 2 cause it looked like the CPU cooler had one as well but still.... :dry: Oh well if someone is stupid enough to buy this mess they deserve the headaches that'll come along with it.

First time I saw it, reminded me of some tracktor tire. It actually looks something out of Alien vs Predator with all the front stuff opened.

But hey for that price you're getting a high-spec machine and a heater to boot. No restart button on that thing though.
