"A new emerged patent reveals that Apple could soon employ curved photosensors to get rid of the extra camera bump. Not only the curved sensors will level out the iPhone’s camera, it might ultimately improve it for better photos."

This is really, really cool! People love to say that Apple is stupid for making things thinner but it causes them to come up with innovations like this.

People complain about that camera bulge so much. Doesn't bother me at all. I mean look at this nokia phone people don't complain...or buy it.

This is really, really cool! People love to say that Apple is stupid for making things thinner but it causes them to come up with innovations like this.

They don´t say apple´s stupid because they´re making the phone thinner. It´s because they keep cutting the battery life on it every time to do so/ they never improve it.

I will say it is annoying if you don't have a case as you could easily scratch the lens but with a case it is flush an d all good.

The reason people complain about the phones being thinner is that almost no one really wants them to be thinner, and everyone wants better battery life, making the phones thinner impedes battery capacity considerably, also hasn't this already been done, or is this patent phone specific (aka we patent the use of curved photo sensors on phones)

That's actually not true. People do still want thinner phones. Ask around in the non-techie community and you'd be surprised with the answers you get.

I don't, I was happy with the thickness of my Droid X even. But that's not actually the popular opinion -- more people want a thinner phone than those that don't (ignoring those who are impartial either way).
