But the Iphone 6s Plus is 1920X1080 downscaled and the screen is 5.5 inches and it has 3D touch. I would rather have an add then having all my credit cards stolen

I honestly love my Latitude (even with all it's quirks like the fan working when it wants to and maybe bad RAM), but there are some things that a MBP would be great for. Like battery, taking notes in class, getting work done (typing on them is amazing IMO), and then just some stuff that I like more about OS X than Windows.

User experience being the most important part of a device, it should always be subject to ridicule.

Apple gets it for a small ad because they don't have anything worse in iOS to be upset about (at least for people who like iOS, those who don't are almost all on the Android train along with me).

Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

Nobody was taking this personally. It's a shitty thing to do regardless of whether or not it is personal.

 

 

 

The skip button is in the top right hand corner. Click it. You're on a 5S so you don't even have to exert much effort. 

That's a terrible excuse. So now all of a sudden all ads are perfectly acceptable as long as you can close them?

They aren't. They are annoying and detrimental to the user experience. Something Apple has been very caring of in the past but are now apparently willing to flush down the toilet if it means they make a few more bucks.

if it's true, Apple should be sued for a trillion dollars.

I looked into it a bit more and it seems like the video is 100% correct. If you get your home button replaced then attempting to update your iPhone will in fact brick it.

The only two solutions seem to be:

1) Put in the original home button, update your software and then put in the new home button again. Repeat this every time you get a software update.

2) Get a new phone.

 

And since Apple has such great customer service they will just tell you to fuck off if you have had your phone opened by anyone other than them.

Well given Microsoft spams the hell out of Windows 7 & 8 users to upgrade.....

for free.. not for 1000$. that's a big difference.

That's a terrible excuse. So now all of a sudden all ads are perfectly acceptable as long as you can close them?

They aren't. They are annoying and detrimental to the user experience. Something Apple has been very caring of in the past but are now apparently willing to flush down the toilet if it means they make a few more bucks.

Its stupid that people here dont understand that most smartphone users are not tech savvy like us and they have no clue about the latest gadgets in the market. Also add to the fact that Apple has so many old iPhone users its common sense to get them aware of the new vastly improved product you have. 

 

Other companies and manufacturers install shit ton of bloatware and i don't see any of you going all out crazy but when apple puts one pop up screen ad towns go blazin' . It's just a typical fanboy behaviour

Really dude? Are you that Naive?

 

All an iPhone user has to do is click skip and go about their day while Windows user despite the repeatedly times you click skip update it still manages to download and install if you're not too careful. This practice is known as enforcing which is so much more dangerous than informing especially in mission critical scenarios where so many things can horribly go wrong

User experience being the most important part of a device, it should always be subject to ridicule.

Apple gets it for a small ad because they don't have anything worse in iOS to be upset about (at least for people who like iOS, those who don't are almost all on the Android train along with me).

Android users have every right to be pissed about OS problems, Carrier problems, Manufacture problems, etc.

But Apple users have every right to be upset too, even though they've less possible problems.

 

Okay so you mean to say that android users always face annoying problems that they just gave up on complaining. But the problem with your logic is that haters are going crazy here not apple users like me or numerous other members here. Don't tell you me you drew that conclusion from the two tweets and 5 other people complaining
