Asus GT 730 4GB or Gigabyte GT 730 2GB?

Please help me choose!

Asus and Gigabyte they both make great products so I believe any of them could be fine. However on the spec I found that the Asus;s one have 4GB vram vs Gigabyte's 2GB, and some few more differences like Gigabyte supports maximum resulotions of 4096 X 2160 while Asus's version supports 2560x1600. Asus's one has DDR3 memory and Gigabyte one has DDR5.

 

So which one should I buy? Do Asus's one worth the extra money?

Mostly entertainment like watching movies, playing songs, surfing the web, learning web designing, little bit of photoshoping hahaha. And yeah occasional gaming but it doesn't have to be in ultra setup. I will put G3250 CPU, 8GB RAM, Asus H81-K mono into the build.

For gaming, this gpu probably isn't even powerful enough to use even 1GB, I'd try to get the cheapest you can find or save up for something that would actually get decent performance.

Anything but Asus or Gigabyte - once you have issues with their products you are on your own.

Save enough for a GTX 750 Ti rather than a GT series GPU

Going with a low powered CPU like G3250 so don't want to put a good GPU with it.

But thanks for the suggestion if I had goen for a better CPU I would definitely put the GTX750Ti.

Put one in regardless.

 

The games you may end up playing anyway will suit that card down anyway, and won't require much in the way of CPU horsepower anyway. Get a 750 Ti. You'll be doing yourself a favour by not handicapping yourself.

The 3250 is adequate for a 750 Ti.

Ok most of the advise on GTX 750 Ti. My concern is that will G3250 handel games like Sniper Elite III or GTA V, MotoGP 15? What if I put a great GPU and my CPU bottlenecks....

This is my first build so I do not have any real life performance experience with the equipment.

The 750 Ti is not what I would say is a "great GPU" compared to a 970 or 980. The 750 Ti will be fine with a G3250.

Gigabyte sucks for AMD, but they're arguably the best manufacturer for Nvidia cards right now.

For GTA V you'll definitely want to use half refresh adaptive vsync to 30 fps, as that game murders Pentiums.

If you really don't want a better gpu then at least get the gddr5 variant of it.
