That's fucking sweet... I wish I had a teach who played C&C with me.

We played HALO CE and HL1 MP on our Asus EEE books, in IT once the teacher just loaded it up on his macbook and we all played free for all

Not school, but our work computers are i3-3220s with 4GB RAM and onboard graphics. Doesn't seem too bad until you try to open multiple instances of AutoCAD or Inventor.

ok our elementary school computers were HORRENDUS. Up until like 2013, they were those crappy Optiplex SFFs that had super slow P4s, like 256MB of RAM, and maybe integrated graphics. Crappy keyboard, mouse, and CRTs. Now they upgraded to Lenovo computers with i3s and GT620s and every teacher gets a new 17 inch HP ProBook with Windows 10 preinstalled.

Filthy keyboards and mice , and literally everything is blocked. Wikipedia was blocked for two years but now it blocks every picture so it's purely test based. Anything that even mentions "game" is blocked, and any sort of public forum is blocked. Yet stuff like Twitter and Facebook is unblocked.

Logic, amirite? Our school blocks stuff like Twitter, Facebook, Imgur, Reddit, and so on, and a few years ago they blocked YouTube until teachers bitched that we couldn't watch the videos that we had to on our iPads.

Probably the monitors actually... They're all haswell i5s with 8gb ram so they're fast enough for solidworks which is most of what I do on them but I wish they had my ultrawide or something. IPS would be cool too.

My school switched to 8.1 and just left it there. Needless to say nobody used the computers anymore, and the next year we all got chromebooks anyways, which is pretty nice.

Just a normal guy with a constant desire to modify everything he owns.

So, let's face it. A lot of still have to deal with school computers (or have had to at some point). What is your least favorite part about them? The ones at my school aren't all that bad (other than the iMacs since they're slow AF), but I'm always worried about getting a virus on my SD card when I have to use it with them since these things have a lot of viruses at this point...

on my computer you can't even access the control panel :/ also we have a proxy server that screws over our internet...

oh yeah, we get 50 MEGABYTES of storage on the storage server :)

Being a schools technician, I get to talk to HP, and Dell Support constantly. (If they have to replace an OEM part)

My least favourite thing was that the poxy proxy server that was set up blocked google, but that was it

So to demonstrate that it needed to be sorted out I got on the computer hooked up to the projector and went on pornhub

Guess who became an IT guy at that college for the remainder of the course ;)

Oh, you know what else sucks? The fact that the teachers can use a computer that has this one program that is able to see what is on your screen, ON THE ENTIRE SCHOOL NETWORK. welp, there goes my privacy.

They won't care. They haven't been arsed to reimage the damned things since we got them about 5-6 years ago.

Ah, Impero (maybe). Wish I had the money for that program lel

We have impero at our school. We get infractions on our accounts for loading pages that have ads. Also they use Lightspeed for blocking the majority of the web and it's horrible. We can't access the MET Office's site because it has "teens" in some element of their page layout.

Also while they don't block the IP for my VPS they block my family's website...

Sig under construction.

Our one server is 4TB. For a class that is a data whore. And it's sad since I just bought a 3TB My Passport Ultra. :/

Please do.

On my server you can whore up as much as you need.

Yup I just opened it. Not blocked on my school's filter. :P
