Classic Boris :D

You know, I really like Boris, I feel too many people are just finding a way to dislike him because he's a tory but he's got so much more cred than Corbyn.

I paid my £3 and voted for Corbyn (regrettably because now I feel like he's just being too extreme).

Also, after watching Boris' speech at the Conservative party conference, I must say that I would vote for him over Corbyn.

Johnson is a very worrying politician, one who is entertaining but is very dangerous, he's right wing and has a popularity that any other politician on the planet can only dream of, purely by playing the buffoon. I'm a staunch left winger and would have paid up and voted for Corbyn if it hadn't been for being distracted with everything else going on in my life at the time. Personally he isn't too extreme, he's what we need and the press are being far too heavy handed on him (what can you expect with a largely right wing press controlled by a couple of people)

I fear Johnson could replace Cameron in the next couple of years as tory leader, and then it's safe to say that labour won't get in for a long time, because he'll sail through on his popularity, not the policies of the party.

so you disagree that Johnson is a dangerous politician, not necessarily from a left wing perspective, but from an overall political view as he is capable of taking any party to power without deep insight into policies.

His speech at the Conservative party conference outlined quite left wing policies for a tory politician.

That's no joke: Europeans do it, easily. They're just you know, willing to heavily tax people.

I wouldn't call 0% tax for the poor a high tax.

In fact, the top rate of tax here is only 5% above that of the states.

According to this site most of them tax heavy earners well above 30% often 40 to 50% income tax for people making over the 90k Euro mark

Umm no: African countries are struggling. Some Asian and Latin American countries are struggling. Some mostly Eastern European countries can approach something a little bit akin to struggling by the previously set standard. Most of the Western European countries are basically the most privileged places on earth. Having some minor issues with immigration is not struggling, I honestly find it kind of insulting that you would suggest something in the same world that houses people starving to death and dying to warlords because some European folk might not get every single luxury the modern world has to offer.

You unironically believe a Western country can't struggle because there are shitholes in the world?

"Ayy lmao dude check your privilege, just look at American Samoa's 50% unemployment our 30% is nothing."

Drop the straw man argument: There's people that struggle on any country, rich or poor. We're talking overall standards of living here: how many people have access to housing, health care, education and literacy, freedom of speech and expression, etc. Now the fact that western countries hit economical speed bumps are nothing compared to other countries that are in an economical black fucking hole. If a country overall has to reduce the standard of health care from "Best in the world" to "Ok most people still won't die but there will be some issues" it's still an order of magnitude above countries on a "Yeah, we're still dying of dysentery....a lot" and "Yeah forget socialized health care, we need fucking water because otherwise most of us will die waiting for water or battling heavily armed war lords to obtain some"

I find it funny that you accuse me of strawmanning when you're the one using the "muh poor countries" argument. The fact is that Europe's struggling economically and culturally while slowly falling into a pit from which it will not be able to dig itself out. This is largely due to failed Socialist policies combined with the migrant crisis.

We have Cuba, North Korea, China, Venenzuela. But in addition to having to endure failing socio-economical experiments and nasty alliances and decisions, this nations also had to deal with the now "struggling" European economies (According to you even thought they still have 40% of the top 10 worlds richest economies) which invaded and ruled these countries for hundreds of years with many gaining their independence a bit over a century ago or later than that.
