SO MUCH TURBO

Absolutely loving the M6, possibly more so than the Bentley. Just wish the interior was better but theres nothing they can do about that. Handling wise it sits perfectly inbetween the Continental and the Huracan in terms of nimbleness, and it never really fought me even with low assist.

Also ACC has a hilarious launch bug where it will always default to VR if you have a headset plugged in but have forced steamvr to close beforehand.

G29 goes on sale for $250 CAD on November 23. This is about what I paid for my G27 many years ago. This would be about $190 USD if you're interested.

Don't think I would buy another G27/derivative as I'd like to go with a belt/combo drive wheel next time. But yeah, that is a really good price. I paid $220 for mine on sale many years ago and I've never seen them priced this low since then. :)

tried these G27+ wheels 2-3 times, really wanted to get into sim racing, but ended up returning them, since i could not accept the "slack" in center position, when you went from left to right, since it is gears..

I went all in a couple of months ago, and i DO know that DD wheels are the ones to go for, but with all the OSW issues, and the Podium not out i bought the R-seat N1 and the Fanatec Clubsport 3.0 wheel plus pedals and so on..

Love it, it suits me perfectly, i know that many buy husinkveld pedals, but i am okay with the Clubsport newest revision pedals with the Brake mod, and a bit of adjustment.

I think i have said this before .. but Thrustmaster > Logitech

T150 Pro can be had for a similar price as the G29 (usually less) and you get a better wheels with better pedals :D

it is still mixed gear and belt so is not as good as a fully belt driver or even DD wheel, but its quite a bit of a step up from a logitech wheel IMO

but that does sound like a decent deal ... if you are fine with the logitech wheel

Since you're in Europe you could more easily get your hands on simplicity DDs, which are among the more reliable and better tailored to your needs since they have a couple of tiers of FFB. The entry level SW7 (7nm) is comparable to the fanatec v2.5 or thereabouts.

https://sim-pli.city/products/sw7c-7nm-direct-drive-wheel

As for pedals, CSV3s are great but equally so are PT2 pedals if you dont want to go full beans with heusinkveld pros. These are in very limited supply but well worth the effort.

yeah i know, but i like the "consumer" friendly part of the Fanatec, i know it is not the best, but as long as i don´t sit down with a "EXPENSIVE" set, then i am okay with what i have, and i love my RSR and F1 Carbon wheel.

Seen jimmy broadbent, having issues with his OSW and wheel setup, time and time again, and fiddling with FFB settings, i just love being able to find a "Fanatec" Setting, and having it be "OKAY" i have so little time to game in my later years, than when the time is there, i want to be gaming, not fiddling.

DAmn Wish I would get a DD wheel here in NZ but FK they expensive especially when the Real race cars gets all the money!

I'm actually looking at upgrading to a Thrustmaster TS -PC and building my own pedals :)

Ya too bad compatability is limited. Only works with that F1 rim and the universal XBOX hub, but a lot of the direct drive button boxes also use magnetic shifters and they're great.

My local Canada Computers finally updated their gaming area. They've been running a gtx970 rig for the longest while, but now its been updated to something that can handle Project CARS 2 which is amazingly fun (and they got all the DLC!). The vive rig was always there but it was just a basic standing area with the lightboxes; now it looks like theres a new rig but not sure if its actually used for demos or not. Bummer since I'd really like to try that TS-XW Racer out to see how strong the FFB is.

Theyve also swapped out their G29 for a G920, and its not mounted down properly so I couldnt get a good feel for it. Similar enough to the other logitech wheels, but the pedals felt somewhat new to me. Maybe its cause the old one was absolutely thrashed to hell and back but this new set feels like its got a rubber conical mod in the brake pedal, since it seems to reach half-travel relatively consistently and doesnt have the same profile as my G27. But it could also just be because I was in winter boots so who knows.

That place looks familiar. ;) They have quite a nice gaming area. Was impressed to see if after they set it all up a couple years ago.

Ya its the one in Unionville. Not much has changed really, they were running that G29 into the ground lol. Was there picking up a WD Black 1tb nvme drive for a friend. For $230 it was a killer of a deal.

Black friday was great this year for once, and from Best Buy of all places. Upgraded my network to an Orbi Mesh setup, got a Logitech G910 and G900 on my way home from the rally, and just picked up a 1080SC to replace my 290s.

Testing the 1080. Oh man between the 1700X and now the 1080SC, the rig has completely changed how my games look. Next up is a VR test but until then...

ACC looks amazing at Epic. As for recording, I can attest that AMD's ReLive is more or less on par with Nvidia Shadowplay in terms of convenience of recording and relative quality, though you can bump up the bitrate in Shadowplay much further (but why you would want to do this I don't know). Need to compare with OBS sometime because Destiny 2 doesn't play nice with third party recording software.
