depends on the games.

i've totally rocked 3 games at once before.

aside from that: i know a guy that often plays 5 games at once.

EDIT: we're talking about playing them at the same time, right?

Depends on the games.

I don't like to play more than one MMO at a time.
I also don't like to play one story intensive game at a time. I rather finish it and then begin a new one instead of playing them all at the same time.

But if it just comes to some multiplayer games like BF4 or just games that aren't that interesting anyway, then I can play them all at once. Doesn't matter if it's 2, 20 or 200.

I play a lot of games at any time, really. I play a lot of CS:GO, but I'll play whatever someone asks me to play, provided I already have it / it's free or cheap-ish. Currently playing CS:GO mostly though.

Haven't played CS:GO after I got scammed about a week ago. After that bought BF4 again but on PC, it's nice to start again but kinda annoying at the same time. On the PS3 I'm Level 124 with premium.. just sayin   ;) Soo... normally about 2-3. Sorry about my short rant :P

As far as playing games until I beat them, I can only really handle 2-3 at a time before I start abandoning some. I have a large variety of multiplayer games that I am willing to play at any time though.

I'll be brutaly honest here. I havn't found enough good games to play more than 1 in any given month, for the last decade :(

There just isn't enough good games coming out each year nowadays for me, im lucky if i find 1 or 2 in the space of a year that i actualy enjoy enough to complete.

That said, in the past (back during PS1 and PS2 (and ofc PC during that same period)) i could easily be hammering away at 5+ games during any given month and over the course of a year i could go through 30+ games that i enjoyed start to finish.

However as i said, currently there are just to few good and worthwhile games coming out, so i rarely have more than 1 at time now. Currently im playing Lords of the Fallen, though its not new, i decided to wait when it 1st came out due to all the bugs and crash issues it had.

And its not just the number of games i actualy like and end up completing that is much lower now, its also the number of games i actualy consider in the first place, during a year a may only look at and consider 10 or so games, in the past that would be atleast 5x more.(i.e consider 50 games play 30, compared to now; consider 10 games play 2)

This is why i dont consider myself a "Gamer" anymore. I dont play enough different games in a short enough time frame. Yea i may come home jump on my computer and play a game or 2 for 4 hours, and that same game again and again each day for a week or so. Like say Lords of the Fallen, or a mmo like Tera(the current 2 games i would say im active on). But there is no diversity, im my book ur not a gamer just becouse u play a game or 2 constantly, ur a gamer if u consistently play different games all the time. Playing say LoL all the time or Sc2 all the time doesnt make u a "Gamer", that makes u a "LoL player", or a "Sc2 player".

About 30 :P I have so many games going all at once

HOWEVER, certain games, I will just play for a solid few days/weeks until I complete them, with no other games between, mostly linear single player FPS/Third person games, so like Metal Gear, Metro Last Light, stuff like that - very narrative driven games will be played through without gaps , more open ended games get played when I feel like it, for example I am still playing black flag and I got it on launch, I just dip in for a few hours when I feel like it, still not completed skyrim main quest

Desktop - Corsair 300r i7 4770k H100i MSI 780ti 16GB Vengeance Pro 2400mhz Crucial MX100 512gb Samsung Evo 250gb 2 TB WD Green, AOC Q2770PQU 1440p 27" monitor Laptop Clevo W110er - 11.6" 768p, i5 3230m, 650m GT 2gb, OCZ vertex 4 256gb,  4gb ram, Server: Fractal Define Mini, MSI Z78-G43, Intel G3220, 8GB Corsair Vengeance, 4x 3tb WD Reds in Raid 10, Phone Oppo Reno 10x 256gb , Camera Sony A7iii

With skill or story wise? Because skill wise I handle maybe 2-4. But with some like FPS games I need few rounds to get comfortable with controls and gamesense. Storywise it depends bit. If the story is interesting to begin with I can leave for year and come back. I have currently 4 story based games under work, Highlands, Canon Brawl (really minor story, more towards skill), Trine 2 GM and bit of Rochard (not going to finish that one....)

Plus I'm in the middle of watching first Bioshock as gameplay movie.
