A GTX 980 Ti has 6GB VRAM...

 

And I don't get the point of the post, they all appear to be old games running at 8K.

Are you on Windows 10? Windows 10 reports incorrect vRAM usage apparently. 2.8GB being used on 2GB 680s and stuff.

 

That being said, more vRAM is always better unless a GPU is hindered by the extra vRAM in some way. Ignore anyone who says otherwise. 

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

That looks like a VRAM leak or it could be that games can scale to how much vram you have such as shadow of mordor.

 

No. 8K 8X AA. And people said you can't max out 6GB of vram...

Remember these are fairly old games...

and optimized at that >.>

Probably a VRAM leak. You should always get the higher VRAM card (void 960 4GB version)

Dude, you're playing at 8K, I did it with Most Wanted a couple of weeks ago. Was getting around that framerate on my 680 4GB

Bruh are you playing PS2 games on your PC ? Of course its not going to look special or anything it just upscales the image to make it cleaner and sharper.

Looks like every1 in 2015 is playing at 8k and i dont know who told you "Don't get a 980Ti, 4GB of vram it's enough" cuz every1 in this forum recommends this card as number 1. Mind giving us full story?

p.s. you could still live with 2gb vram.

umm no.... im soryy but if old games like that use more then 4gb how exactly am i playing gta a dsr 4k with most settings in the higher end and 1080p at almost maxed and only hitting 3.5-3.6 gb of use ?

Because 4K and 8K is huge difference. This is why we need HBM, we will see 8K monitors at CES 2016 or Computex 2016.
