This would look really cool in some cases like the NZXT H440 or Noctis 459 because the SSD sits on the bottom where a LED would be nice,

Well, it doesn't look incredibly tacky, and I do sorta like it, but why are there LEDs on everything now? What's next, LED hard drives, or are they too old to be cool and fancy?

Why is the God of Hyperdeath SO...DARN...CUTE!?

Also, if anyone has their mind corrupted by an anthropomorphic black latex bat, please let me know. I would like to join you.

Don't like these ones, but it's nice xD SSDs are still considered premium part so I can see it kind off.

Ascetics. Some people like their PC looking like a space ship about to take off.

it will be in a drive cage hidden behind the mobo - most times

I like the idea of SSDs becoming show-pieces in builds as much as something like a GPU cooler or motherboard, but this I don't know...

I'm a bit of a function over form type person, however if the function is good enough why not get the pretty looking one and show it off?

Adding led isn't modding, it's call rice. :P

I've remember in the old days before there was LED light strips or built in LEDs into devies like SSD. To add some light, you have to go and by those cold catheode  tubes. Ahh the good old days of old school ricing.
