I believe the ability to even run textures that high in real time is the dx12 feature.

 

 

It's times like these I hate being a responsible tight arse.  the performance of 4 titans sure is alluring.

so pretty much they can do 6 times the graphic quality with dx12 then possible with dx 11....AWESOME!

If this was from one of the western studios Square Enix has required then I'd be interested.

The only good things to come out of Square Enix's Japanese studios in about a decade are small DS/3DS games.

8192x8192 textures aren't entirely unreasonable for something like a character's face in close up cutscenes.  Calling it 8K is annoying, but modders started it with their "2K textures" bullshit.  Although I don't think you'd notice the difference if they took that 8192x8192 texture and scaled it down to 2048x2048...

 

So......does this mean ff15 is coming to PC?

 

It's possible considering that XII and XIII-2 both made it and iirc Lightnign Returns is on the way.
