When you're guiding others through text and/or voice (no remote desktop), everything goes fine (90% done) but all of the sudden the last step fail because of him/her (not following your guide, being stubborn or she/he doesn't know what she/he is doing) and the problem becomes worse.

Oh would you look at that, can't uninstall a program or install one, every antivirus program crashes in 20 seconds, and the cpu idles at 60-65% usage in my grandmas computer... Looks like I reinstall windows and make her locked out of most things... Yay...

Love it when my friends use Inspect Element to "hack" websites and show off to me saying they can do anything they want. My usual comback is to disconnect their IP in Command Prompt and basically just say "Bro. You're such a good hacker. Now figure out how to get yo internets back." then just walk away. Its especially hillarious when their first move is to try and search online with google. *facedesk*

I use TeamViewer too, but some of my friends don't want to install TeamViewer and I don't have other choice but to guide him using text and voice using Skype.

Actually I can use the screen share feature in Skype but when I guide him they say "What? Where? Come on!".

Ha-ha I understand, thing is, except for my brother, my whole family is useless regarding tech, so installing any software comes down to me telling them to install it ... And even though my brother is as good as I am, somehow I'm the one they call first, must be because I "play" with computers all day (I swear, one of my aunt told me that once, like I'm not working or something)!

Update: Friend gave me the wrong windows iso, the disc has "Windows 8.1" written in sharpie on it, but the disc really has 8..

Was so bad I got his cpu usage at idle from 40% to around 5%

i idle at around 15-40%.

but thats just cause i have a crappy laptop and like, rainmetre, msi afterburner, speedfan, cortemp, buncha stuff. 

and i need all of those, cause for some reason rainmetre wont jsut accept tempurature cpu and gpu information form one source.

Thought it would be fun to make a topic about, all of our experiences with all the people, who doesn't really understand all the tech. Note: Don't make this too harsh on them. You need to help them, not yell at them. I'll go first: So my mom has a daycare. And one day I am sitting on the floor with my laptop. And one of the kids, with real dirty hands come and put his hand on the screen. Guess he thought it was a touch screen. Still haven't gotten it off, and it was 3 months ago. My grandmother is scared of getting rid of the computer, because she thinks it will cut the power to her house.

At my school, it doesn't matter what's going on, it could be a projector, it could be a SmartBoard, it could be a Mac, if I'm in that class my classmates are like, "Yes, yes, this kid can do it." Once a projector broke down and they called me up there. I stayed up there for like 15 minutes just plugging and replugging cables endlessly. Then the teacher was like, "I forgot to plug it in."

Hi, It's Doge here. Now I've been noticing a lot of negative comments on this thread and I'd just like to tell you guys that there's nothing wrong with having a negative IQ. Now that we have that out of the way, I'd like to inform you of a fantastic method I've discovered, to cool your CPU. This one day I smoked about a pound of meth and nearly OD'd. I was unconscious for 10 hours, and when I awoke I had no testicles. Now me being a Shiba Inu I was like; "Woof woof motha-fuckas, I lost my nuts!" So then I had this brilliant idea; why don't I put a banana on my 5690X? So I did that, and my CPU temps went below my ambient room temperature, which usually fluctuates between 20-21 degrees Celsius. So this was clearly a problem because if it's below room temp then moisture can form on the CPU and fuck up the entire shit. So I came up with solution. Basically, I ate a bunch of bananas, sponges, and drank a lot of water, then I took a huge shit and voila! I had a banana/sponge hybrid.  So the sponge absorbed the moisture and the banana cooled the CPU, and I was able to reach temps below -100 degrees Celsius. I was also able to over clock the CPU to about 19GHz. I also sponana cooled my GPU, which is now @ 5942Mhz. I'm now able to play any game on Ultra, at 10000+ FPS. Now you may be asking; " Well all of this is wonderful nutless Doge, bet how is any of this possible?" Well I'll tell ye. So basically, the potassium within the banana is released when being subjected to the electrical current from the fan connector, (yes you will have to run a wire from your sponana to le 3 pin fan connector), and what the potassium does is it; de-stimulates the atoms which make up the heat plate on the CPU causing the CPU to run much cooler. This method also works with plantains. Trust me, I work at Best Buy.
