Experiences with non-techies

one word: WINE.

There are lots of ways of making games work on Linux and a lot of gamers actually do that.

Really? I have only ever tried Wine and for someone who really is not that good at programming in whatever language Ubuntu accepts I found it hard to use.

A kid at school was having trouble comprehending what I was looking at once.

It was this:

Enthusiast-Z87-Haswell-1150-Motherboard-

I believe I just stared and gulped when i first saw a motherboard...

Most people I try to talk to computers about can't even identify who their computer is made by.

Hahaha.... Some people who buy custom PC from a store are scared to even open the side panel lol

Oh man that reminds me. Me and @178Sonic spent so long trying to convince our friend to open up his fossil of a computer to put an 8400GS in there.

Well opening the side panel is fine as long as you don't touch anything.

When i first got into tech & computers it was the stuffing all the cables in that worried me ^.^

Only when I have to trouble shoot my computer. So lazy to put the side panel back on that it rotates between my bed and my chair... :D

My dad told me that he could use SD cards as RAM. This is the guy who did thermodynamic fluid models and simulation programming as an Engineer. And until recently he built his own computers, but he fell in love with laptops.

Anyway, turns out he just didn't know the proper term as "Swap" partition/file.

I managed to restore faith in my dad though.

Or Origin is just unheard of because Steam is infinitely better.

Friends in school use steam just for Dota 2, they say its better than LoL.

You can't get Battlefield on Steam.

No one in my class owns a console. period. NO ONE.

Either he's an idiot, doesn't own battlefield, or is a closet console player.

Well I have never played Dota 2

I know but that doesn't change the fact that Steam is better than Origin.
