Late response but we actually did meet here... on this very thread, actually. We kinda knew each other on this forum before December 2016, but that's where we really set it off. 

We met up in March 2020, pretty much right before all the coronavirus shit really kicked off here. We're hoping to plan out another meetup soon enough.

I had a DVD-RW once and that thing couldn't even be re-written two times. :/

Literally a thousand miles apart. Sucks, but eh. 

And yeah, three DVDs later and my desktop is struggling like hell at this. Could just be that I'm using a Blu-ray drive, but then again, it shouldn't be that tough.

jesus christ I can't even remember the last time I burned a CD or DVD,  I kinda miss my big stacks of music CD's.

sold them all when everything started going digital.

I actually had to buy a USB CD/DVD/BlueRay player just to install windows. Super unamused by that, but it has been super handy for... Well... That.

Yeah, I think the Insignia ended up superseding the Vectra entirely. 

Which, those Insignias are rather nice. We got those in the US as the Buick Regal (not as in "it's a related car", but as in "it's literally an Insignia with a Buick badge"). The TourX wagon we got (which is based off that more rugged Insignia estate trim) is super nice.

well and now that they belong to PSA yeah we're going to see them start selling rebadged PSA cars lol
I mean I think they already are selling some PSA models lol

They still sell the Ampera-e (rebadged Chevy Bolt EV)
the new Corsa seems to be one rebadged example of PSA

Yeah, this year's been pretty important in the grand scheme of things for both of us. We met up far earlier in the year, but more importantly, he's been a good outlet to help me with my own mental issues that I've had for a while.

💝 it's kinda funny how it all started but honestly that's what these last 4 years has really taught us about each other and about ourselves is patience and dedication and finally we're getting close to being able to make some goals to finally get rid of the physical distance between us

Yeah. These last four years have been quite interesting, to say the least. I still don't really know how to express love (or even if I can express it properly), but at the very least, I can express gratefulness... if that makes sense.

And just like that, it's December 31st. A lot's changed in four years. A whole fucking lot has changed, to clarify. I guess what hasn't is the fact that me and @pinksnowbirdieare still together after all this time. I still wanna have him come down here again, as, if I were to be honest, the only feeling I really felt that I remember out of our first trip was massive amounts of nervousness. Lots of things are more understood by that point for the both of us now, so I suspect a second trip would really work out a lot nicer.
