I don't really pay attention to this thread much any more. Sometimes its a (excuse partial breach of stupid CS @mods)  leftist circle jerk sometimes its people looking for people to feel sorry for them or w/e idk. @Dan Castellaneta I think has stated it well in the past of what this thread has sorta devolved into. And sadly I think this is a reflection of the real word too. People seemingly don't want to practice civility in conversations and debates any more. Nowadays we use ad hominems and resorting to using meaningless insults to try to make us feel better or act as like a rebuttal.

Look that's not fair, he already established that he doesn't have to use words by their actual definitions while communicating and that by making up definitions as he goes along, he's actually demonstrating that he's more intelligent than others.  It's a perfectly cromulent way to live one's life!

Today was a great day, I went to an english language enrichment day, and went to 4 lectures that were discussing what will be tought in Unit 4.

After that, I decided to meet up with a friend who lives in Melbourne, so we roamed around town for 2 hours or so, that was great fun.

Eventually, we both had to go home, so we went to Flinder's Street to catch our respective trains home, mine left 1st so he stayed with me till it arrived. Then we hugged goodbye and I got on the train.

 

But some arsehole was watching us, so when I got on the train, he (the arsehole) just stared at me like I did something wrong.

The Simpsons is pretty great isn't it?  ?

 

I want it on Blu-Ray (or DVD if it isn't on Blu-Ray) except possibly the first few seasons when the animation looks night and day different from how it looked for several years before the change in art style to how it looks now.

Today’s been a pretty good day too over here. Called back Mr. Mehul to touch base about my potential job, and he said he’ll definitely be sending me an offer today or tomorrow! It’s anyone’s guess how much I’ll be making… I could be making minimum wage and really be working towards a different job, or I could be bringing in $50+/hour like my father does teaching piano.

 

In any case, I’ll be too busy with that fun stuff to be spending tons of time on the internet talking and all. After work, my fiancé, and my home life… well, there’s not a whole lot left to do really, haha ?

Isn't it typical to get a compensation sorted out before getting to this point?

 

It sounds like they're basically all but saying you work for them already but you have zero idea how much you'll be making...

 

If I told any of my family about getting a job but they didn't tell me how much I'd make and I didn't ask they'd say I was stupid for not making sure to get all the details.

 

That's great if they do send you an offer but what if it's minimum wage and only like 20 hours a week if you're lucky? 

 

 

Sorry I dont don't mean to ruin your excitement but cautious optimism is best in your situation I think.
