all the thermal compound is about the same. between the best and the worst thermal compound there is only a few degrees difference.

I personally use noctua's brand of thermal paste. 'Best' one IMO.

Well, the thermal paste that comes with the H100i is very high quality, but if you want, for some reason, to swap that out, I use MX-4 and it performs great and it's also non-conductive.

it doesnt make much of a diffrence at all.

Noctua NT-H1 is totaly fine, and cheap.

Just use the stuff that comes pre-applied with the H100i it's not bad at all. Even replacing with the best TIM on the market (Gelid Solutions GC Extreme or Prolimatech PK-3) is only going to improve your temps by 3 degrees or so.

So i always just buy Arctic silver 5 for about $7 per 3.5 gram tube and i just noticed i have 5 empty tubes so i probably would have been better off buying thermal paste in a larger capacity tube. Arctic silver 5 has also been around for a long ass time so i'm not sure how good it is compared to other stuff.

That Coolaboratory paste and the Gelid paste are near the top and best.

 

Some of the more amazing-for-the-cash type paste is the Noctua/Phanteks paste (90% sure they're the same) and MX4. Tuniq also makes some decent paste if I remember correctly.

Yea i figured that was the case. I always buy things from DirectCanada because they slightly undercut NCIX's prices (on regular priced items) and offer free shipping if you spend $50 or more so i always throw in a tube of AS5 when i make an order. Their selection of thermal paste is terrible though so that's also why.

NH-H1 is pretty good. Arctic Silver 5 is horrible to clean off and just doesn't perform as well as Id hoped. Been using the Noctua thermal paste for years and I'm completely happy with it.
