A large portion of me does not give 1 single fuck about anything they have to say or do unless it involves the words "we apologize for lying to our customers about the 970, and furthermore apologize about our lie about why/how that happened"

 

Even without a refund, they still need to apologize.

It can only be a new GPU or GRID streaming.
A Shield 2 wouldn't be 5 years in the works same goes for a G-sync 2.0 or another tablet.
Or it's something completely new.

What would you all do if Nvidia and Intel just jointly developed a super optimized game engine and released cheap dev kits for it?

The 970 isn't "broken", it was just misadvertised.

It is a problem, but it is actually done really well. Would you rather have a 3.5gb card, or one with 3.5gb fast ram and 0.5gb slower ram? This is better than using system memory, so it is an improvement. The only blunder nvidia made was marketing it as a 4gb card. I am not an nvidia fanboy, I will normally recommend a 290 over a 970, and I did even before the memory debacle.
