Ever had one of those days?

 

Today I opened my laptop, watched linus. 

Linus is too loud. 

 

Grab tv remote. Try to turn down volume on my laptop.

Get frustrated when it doesn't work.

....

..

"Oh, I was pointing it at my TV"

 

Point remote at laptop.

 

...

..

Realize I am not a smart man and I should probably go back to sleep. 

 

Anyone do anything nearly this stupid? 

muh specs 

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

I had my laptop open (using touchpad) and tried to move the cursor with my desktop mouse.

Probably signed up for my college course last minute, as usual. I never learn, and do this every quarter, it's pretty much an "air head" thing, because I either barely sqeeze into the classes I want, or have to take something to fill in the credits I need that I hate...

plugged my mod mic into my phone and got pissed when i couldnt hear the person talk through my headphones the one morning... i was to early without enough coffee

A lot of people look for their car keys while they are in their hands or their glasses while on the top of their head. 

But how do you not feel them swinging around?

pulled a Li-ion cell array from a laptop battery, and while disconnecting the smart board, I decided to short out one of the cells. yay, oh, wow, those heat up fast! O.o Ow.

Well actually.. I did nearly the same thing as @Syntaxvgm except i was trying to turn my computer off -.- My setup is in my room, it was about 5am and i was already in my bed before i realized i forgot to turn the computer off.. Long story short I had to get up lol.

I've tried once to mount two 140mm fans on a 240mm radiator... yeah...  <_< 

5 minutes later I realised that I should take the 120mm fans instead...  :lol:

I'm 27, so according to most teenagers I'm ancient.

If I take my glasses off and put them on a table, I am bound to forget them. Therefor I use the eyeglass chain.

But how do you not feel them swinging around? 

I have no idea how I missed them swinging about. 

I probably had to move them to look places aswell. I have no idea what happened.

Tries to plug the mouse in the HDMI port thinking it was USB port....

 

Sent in Corsair RM1000 for RMA because I forgot to turn on switch on back

 

Sent Noctua NH-D12 for RMA because it was too quiet

 

I thought at one point that laserjet printers use lasers to print which can chop your hands off
