Acer announcing 1440p 144Hz Gsync monitor with IPS (Update: Reviewed)

Faa

Jebus Allah Chirst...  you dont understand what an aspect ratio even is...

Holy shit, what will you do when you grow up? Dreadful to think about it.

The correct way to ask for more vertical space would be to say you want bigger and higher res screens in general.

Also, a unified single standard is bad. We need two standards. A 24:10 (rounded up 2.37:1), and a 16:10 one. That would make everyone happy.

I don't think you understand lol...?

3360x1600 = 21:10

Before we over hype this I'd like to see what the price is. ROG Swift is already for a monitor, imagine an IPS version of it..

Mmmm 144Hz 1440p IPS *I'm wet*

but no 1080p option - I can't afford the GPU power for 1440p 60+ fps in ultra Crysis 3. Guess I'll be getting a GPU next year, GTX _80

Too bad the XG270HU doesn't have G-Sync with it. Maybe that will be their Freesync monitor :)

This is an AHVA.  And a special panel by AU Optronics, so this is a first of it's kind, IPS performance, but not an LG IPS panel, but most AHVA panels -can- recreate 1.7B colors or atleast the high grade ones, so this should be.. -the- monitor.  1ms, AHVA, 144hz, 1440p, 27".  If they offer a Freesync variety or a 4k one.  I'd snag one *_*

Even without Freesync (I have a AMD card so I REALLY hope it had Freesync) It would still be worth it if you can drive it.

The year is 20XX. Everyone plays Fox at TAS levels of perfection. Because of this, the winner of a match depends solely on port priority. The RPS metagame has evolved to ridiculous levels due to it being the only remaining factor to decide matches.

Only Abate, Axe, and Wobbles can save us.

Anyone know whether the TN XG270HU will get G-sync?

If it does its probably gonna be less than the ROG swift and in my opinion the most important monitor.

I don't got the money for IPS, and the color doesn't matter that much to me.

If it's cheaper than the Swift and it really brings what it promises then i'll sell my Swift and switch to it.

If Samsung gave a stand like Dell's Ultrasharp series, 3840x2160, AH-PLS(I want this), and Freesync, that'd be competitive.

Edit: @ 60hz

You have a 780 Ti right? That's G-Sync compatible, so I'd highly consider this monitor, and keep your current as a secondary.

For Sale: Meraki Bundle
