I'd guess around $700-$800.

I'd guess around $700-$800.

Considering the TN version (rog swift) is $850-1000+ right now, I doubt it (but I hope so, that'd be awesome).

The MSRP on the ROG Swift is $799 I believe and some of that is Asus and ROG branding tax. Though since Asus can't seem to keep the thing in stock Acer could probably justify charging a premium.

144Hz IPS is just epic.

Having gsync as well is like icing on the cake.

Love to see monitor tech advancing, can't wait to get some awesome monitor in future. For now I'm happy with one I got. But for next upgrade it must be at least 4K high Hz <1ms ips quality. Would like it to be compatible for both types of new sync techs.

I think there should be more options, but from what I've seen the market hasn't been moving towards supporting various different aspect ratios. I would like to see a ultra wide monitor with more vertical real estate. 21:10 or something lol.

Jebus Allah Chirst...  you dont understand what an aspect ratio even is...

Holy shit, what will you do when you grow up? Dreadful to think about it.

The correct way to ask for more vertical space would be to say you want bigger and higher res screens in general.

Also, a unified single standard is bad. We need two standards. A 24:10 (rounded up 2.37:1), and a 16:10 one. That would make everyone happy.

Way back in September AU Optronics teased that they were working on a QHD 1ms AHVA panel, and yes; most manufacturers refer to PLS and AHVA as just IPS, but this is likely -that- panel, and if it is.. I can only imagine what more they can do with AHVA and just variations of the VA technology to begin with.  I've hopes that what Tomshardware assumes is correct, as if it is; this should be -amazing-.

That's a nice profile picture you got there.

Hopefully it is at least 1 - 2ms

Anything higher and it is a no. Visible ghosting for me at 5ms+

And in say an SLi setup, I imagine from a exiles wouldn't be fun.

A 1080 for me now would be great although I could live with 1440

It's a 144hz gsync monitor, this wont be a problem.
