What do you want to see the org accomplish?

Okay guys. I've got a question.

 

What do you want to accomplish long term with the org?

 

For me, it's to get us, as an org as stable and as powerful as possible, with as much ease as possible.

 

So, my goal list for the org at the moment is :

  1. Grow the org numbers
  2. Establish a workable community
  3. Set in place regulations and a format to elect members to the council
  4. Elect people to the council
  5. Engage the council in org management duties
  6. Elect members to special posts within the org (diplomat, etc)
  7. Wait for game to fully launch

After this, my goals for SC post launch is :

  1. Establish a base of operations
  2. Secure base of operations
  3. Establish mining outposts
  4. Establish trade routes
  5. Establish manufacturing/trade control of a system
  6. Establish a defense force
  7. Establish a military
  8. Establish a command structure for military
  9. Establish a exploration hub and outposts
  10. Build sufficient credits to advance other secondary org goals
  11. Establish org run businesses such as insurance, etc
  12. Expand to a second system
  13. Rinse, repeat

 

Anything else you would like to achieve?

 

 

Currently the secondary org goals sit at : 

  • Complete OP:Monarch
  • Gain control of a Carrack
  • Have enough credits to offer org benefits (should be covered pretty quickly once the first tax cycle goes round)

For now you've covered the important stuff, we also need a racing team, ofc with me in it huehuehue.

I think is that it would be great to create some "templates" for units.

For example an exploration unit would consist of a Carrack, a salvager and some long range fighters for support (or whatever other setup we come up with).

Having templates like this would help players to organize into task groups for mining operations, exploration etc.

 

And one thing that came to my mind (it might be a tough one) would be to create a full database of org members with all their ships and preferred roles, mission types etc. This way when you're searching for a friend with a particular ship or willing to perform a particular type of missions you could do it with ease. Also we would be able to keep an eye on the statistics. Knowing what we have, would help us manage it properly..

mixing up ship size and having a mining ship is a good idea for the explorers league.

We could pull an "antlantis" in space!! Great movie btw.

Let's just not stab each other midway in the exploration k? :P

We are going to need a starfarer for long distance flights as well

And training, and a strike force. Oh boy.

Hm, pretty much spot on. Another important aspect might be financial stability, but I guess that isn't too much of a problem if we branch out to as much activities as is organisational possible.

Here's one I'd like to see, regular times in a week we meet up and play AC or maybe a game we all agree on.

I know its hard due to timezones/life etc but maybe set up certain times in the week we all meet in the chat and start a game or something.

Hell even a pub quiz!

I would suggest something like Planetside as its free, so everyone can play, or AC. Also I think the time most people would be free would be late afternoon EST as that night in Europe and around midday on the west coast.

Space engineers is a fun game.

Keep meaning to buy it but its a little to pricey for me for what it is

Anyhow, I'd like to see more in-community interactions while we're waiting for release/beta of the persistent world. Maybe multiplayer gaming sessions to perhaps solidify camaraderie and teamwork (AC, Payday 2(?), anything really!) . Just to get the community closer together, yeah?

 

It's just that I see peeps posting here and there but it'll be great to actually interact in real time!

Information sharing makes a lot of sense. Like a plugin which we can post information in game (Especially helpful for those who use one monitor) that uploads to a drive somewhere. E.G. dangerous areas, in fleet bounties on players who have assaulted our members, rumor mill, etc. 

 

Information is gonna be key in making a big impact on the PU especially since that's really what a fleet as large as LTT needs in order to be organized.

Annnnd we're back to working on Monarch since we have so much more information regarding FPS combat. Then once we get multi-crew Arena Commander we'll be able to make another huge jump in compiling reports.

I can pretty much say @Wauthar @CatCloud and @isHypnophobic are all good pilots.

They all have different styles of piloting and ship preference, no one seems to have my bait and run mentality tho :lol:

The simple fact is that we don't have an voice chat in game but yet seemed to be able to divide and conquer in game shows we could work at different tasks to obtain one goal.

Why haven't we set up a teamspeak, or something of the sort?

We have a team speak server but I think its lost in space or something, the main issue is when we are playing there is little time to setup.
