Valve makes a tiny mistake. Fnatic exploits.

Here is the boost spot  : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCganwY7hkU#t=31

Today's DreamHack Winter match, LDLC vs Fnatic, was heated.

On the third map overpass, Fnatic went from a 2-13 deficit to a 16-13 victory.

Background information : Teams are playing at Dreamhack winter stockholm with a prize pool of $250,000.

This match is highly controversial as one of Fnatic's team member was boosted. Many claim  it is pixel walking ( standing on invisible ground ),  while others believe it is a legal boost.

Update:  LDLC sent an official disputed and infraction on Fnatic is possible. If Fnatic gets an infraction, punishments may include DQ, or RM.

It is a shame that a team can win and turn the match around over one small exploit or boost spot.  In my opinion it is Valve's fault for making this mistake. Hopefully they will fix.  Everyone is going to veto this map. Also, the casters have asked many teams if they would use this exploit and all said yes. All of all the cs go matches, I've never seen something like boost spoits / exploits being debated.

Hopefully they fix it, but no one should fault the player for using the map to their advantage -- that's kind of the point.

Valve didn't make CSGO did they? Wasn't it Hidden Path who made and maintain it?

Anyway its no surprise the pros are using exploits, the pro scene has more cheaters in it than pub does. Hopefully he will get removed from the tournament.

"Pixelwalking is illegal"

A fnatic member was pixelwalking

What's the debate about?

Rules can be changed, but he'll hang before they are. That's how it's always worked

Specs: 4790k | Asus Z-97 Pro Wifi | MX100 512GB SSD | NZXT H440 Plastidipped Black | Dark Rock 3 CPU Cooler | MSI 290x Lightning | EVGA 850 G2 | 3x Noctua Industrial NF-F12's

Bought a powermac G5, expect a mod log sometime in 2015

Corsair is overrated, and Anime is ruined by the people who watch it

Quick question, how the hell does a team go from losing 2-13 to a 16-13 win from using the same boost spot each round?

You'd think the other team would have caught onto this and didn't go that way on the map.

that's the thing they didn't go that way only a few times after the first time and since 99% of the time they didn't go that way they knew where they where going every round so they could rotate straight away and they couldn't see where the enemy player was

They didn't.

LDLC had no idea where the shooter was at.

Fnatic was the only team that knew about that spot.

Cheating isn't just using hacks you know, exploits, map bugs and other mechanic breaking techniques are rife in the pro scene. A lot of leagues allow it so they don't get in trouble for doing it anyway.

And no, I was genuinely asking because AFAIK Hidden Path created CSGO, I didn't realise Valve had any more input than publishing it over Steam. You learn something new every day.

Actually, the community found out about that spot originally and Fnatic took that idea.

For clarification, I didn't know how much they could actually see of the map.

fnatic should be disqualified.

*Edit, here is a video showing how bad this spot is;

Question: what is pixelwalking?

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.
