eGPU installation and setup coming soon!

Firearm2112

I finally pulled the trigger on most of the parts I will need for my eGPU project (still need to order the pcie to thunderbolt, will order later this week) I decided to order most parts from eBay since it was cheaper, and so I dont go bankrupt if this thing goes to shit.

Looks really interesting! Can't wait to see how you are going to do it, but the enclosure better look sexy when it's done ;)

If I have extra money I plan on building a custom enclosure. I will be using Akitio Thunder2 PCIe Box to put the GPU in, but I have to mod it since the 760 is too large to fit in it. I plan on putting that in a custom enclousure

You may want to just take out the adapter board if that is possible. Then you can put it inside a different case later.

Cool project bro. I suppose a watercooled GPU with a custom 3D printed or CNC case would be in the second iteration as well ;)

I have never thought about water cooling it! I suppose it would work with a separate pump and what not. Diffidently going to try that down the line

Edit: God I have horrid luck with packages. My PCIe to thunderbolt will get here Monday, and my PSU jumper has been lost in the mail. It had to be reshipped and is coming next week.

Wait, is this a mining setup? If so, I wouldn't use a Nvidia card for it.
