In the electronic technical world, I am the only person in my immediate and extended family that knows my way around more than my TV.

In mechanical/"mr. fix it" technical... my grandpa could find a way to fix just about anything, including things he didn't fully understand.

My dad, uncle and I are the only techy ones, my cousin is getting into it, but he doesn't know as much as we do.

This is a family of about 70 people, maybe more? The things Greeks and Mexicans have in common is that we have very large families.

My mom is very tinfoil hat, Apple is the only good computer, smartphones are stupid, anti-technology person. Doesn't care to learn about it either because she'll tell me she knows everything and all things and you're wrong....

My dad is very "yeah I know computers specs is what make computer good" - far from true.

My stepdad is very "OH NO YOU ENTERED YOUR NAME ON A WEBSITE YOU'RE GOING TO GET HACKED" person.

My stepmom doesn't understand, usually willing to learn or just simply let the expert do what he/she's best at. She's the best of them all probably.

No siblings so no worries there.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

My dad knows a little bit about computers like adding RAM and replacing RAM and mum knows some of the parts, e.g. when I held up a HDD she knew what it was and same with the RAM.

and they both have iPhones but don't know all of the little tricks that once you use them you can't go back  so it is really frustrating when I am watching them do things :P

My dad is into it, but not exactly computers, but more like for example the drones, 3d printers, new tech in cars, those news about androids and robots in japan, and stuff like that. He does know some stuff about pcs, but he's too outdated.

My mom is learning and getting used to it, she now has a netbook, a smartphone, and can do it fairly well.

My brother knows how to use stuff, but it's not too much into tech like i am, he just knows how to use pcs very well, smartphones too, but that's it.

Yeah. My mother has to be one of the least techy persons I know (besides my dads parents). When she got an iPhone from work, she thought she wanted a compass (iOS 6), so she bought one for 6 DKK ($1). I quite literally facefloored.
