So with the recent leaked trailer hinting at the possible return of the loved zombie mode in Activisions latest Title Advanced Warfare , many have got excited about the chance of this happening.

Yet with talk about the Zombie mode being a topic for discussion among fans Game Stop put an end to the rumours with a email they sent out to customers today :

So what is your guys opinion on this , personally if what game-stop is saying is true that this is just another dump on the consumer. With such a popular gamemode surely this should be in the standard game and not an extra option that can only be unlocked via opening your wallet only just after you took cash out to pay for the game.

ubisoft did the same thing with that PVP mode that's only available in the season pass

let the warfare return to what it was in cod1, cod 2, cod 4mw, mw2/3 etc and have a good campaign with a good story and fun multiplayer, I'm sick of modern games having a crap story just because most people want to play multiplayer and couldn't give a **** about the campaign.
it makes companies get lazy and spend 5 minutes on a badly thought out story and go "there that'll do, lets wait for the money to come in".

if people wanna play it fine, make it a separate game, they'll sell billions make a cargo ship load of cash for no effort and the gamers will be happy anyway, then you can give them a ton of DLC levels like they usually do.

meanwhile the people that actually want to play a story and multiplayer don't have to put up with some half assed effort.

Zombies is fun, you don't have to be a zombie to play it and enjoy it. The laziness that affects campaign affects zombies as well. Look at the whole Treyarch zombie storyline - all games different but they share a common story and develop it that story in 3 games and probably in a forth coming soon. However I have a feeling that this is going to be GHOSTS Extinction all over, somewhat related to the story but really just another multilayer gamemode. Put some effort into it and some background info and you can make a good zombie gamemode.

There is a definite difference between a GOOD game that is centered around zombies, and a game that is only decent that happens to have zombies in it.
