NES build 1985-2015 30TH anniversary " NES 3.0"(completed final pics!)

ungreedy

Where did you get that power supply and how many watts is it again? I'm really tempted to turn my Dell into a PS3 since I have a 3rd gen ps3 holding my Strix 970, brothers i5 4590 box, and my Xeon box. And since I am saying goodbye to a spare power supply and 7770 I'm hoping to get enough for a itx z97 board, pentium G3258, and a little 8GB kit of ram.

And for a motherboard tray, I could like cut the one of le terrible Rosewill Redbone.

its a HDPlex 250w I bought mine off of amazon for the free day shipping

there website http://www.hd-plex.com/

and amazon link  http://www.amazon.com/HDPLEX-Hi-Fi-DC-ATX-Supply-16V-24V/dp/B00J3X7RU6/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1427761329&sr=8-2&keywords=hdplex

Looking good, 11/10. Are you going to sleeve your PSU cables? I've ordered some sleeving myself  :D

Thanks!

I was going to sleeve the cables but I am afraid of the added bulk ,but I do have something else in mind for them.

Also almost all my cables will be out of site! Yes even the NES will have cable management ;)

well I thought I would post what I am doing with the cable's

nothing really else to post still waiting on my silly fan, from china so I can make my final decision on what fan to use. That does not really matter to much tho weather is still just a little to cold to start painting :( almost there tho :)

pray to the weather God's for me!

Looks great... And time consuming! No shortcuts on this build. Love it.

looking nice! Did you sleeve them on your own or buy new ones?

Thanks, I shall mod it if possible!

I actually dyed them for 3 days with RIT dye , this was a pain still and scary throwing my wires is a bath of boiling black water, not knowing what was going to happen to them. I would of bought black wires from somewhere but these are wired in a unconventional pin layout so I really did not want to buy wires and screw the layout up. I would of liked to sleeved the cables but I know it would been a PITA to get the wire where I needed them to go in the case with the added bulk . So that's why I dyed them, no extra bulk :)

Dyeing them is a good idea. I never would have thought of it my self. nice looks without any added bulk that you don't need.

I like that you're painting it even though you can't see the inside when it's in the NES. :D
