NES build 1985-2015 30TH anniversary " NES 3.0"(completed final pics!)

ungreedy

cooling systems all most complete!

just got a little miracle fan in the mail yesterday and it did the trick I needed  :D

right now I have my cpu clock at 4.2ghz and my gpu is maxed out at 1300mhz boost while keeping temps on the cpu under 82c(100% load) and gpu stays under 70c(tested 30mins straight of valley bench ) . Idle temps stay around 36c which would never happen before the would slowly increase to about 50-55c.

I should get my new cooler in the mail tomorrow or the next day and do a little more testing

getting close now boys I can taste it!!

new fan

Now we need someone to stuff an i7 and a 980 in a NES, then I think that's far enough :D

Next nes might have a 970

That's gonna be interesting to see crammed in there. Any idea how you'd fit it?

I guessed it would have been an ITX card, but even horizontally it'll be a struggle to fit that in, whilst not starving the CPU cooler of air. And that's an open card, too. so it'll be a struggle to get rid of the heat it'll kick out without some big vents being cut

I have it planned out .

I will not start a build log until the case is built .you would be pretty surprised on how I manage to do it and most vents would be hidden this time around.

Believe me you will get it once you see the case, just don't want to give up my secrets ;)

Where did you get that power supply and how many watts is it again? I'm really tempted to turn my Dell into a PS3 since I have a 3rd gen ps3 holding my Strix 970, brothers i5 4590 box, and my Xeon box. And since I am saying goodbye to a spare power supply and 7770 I'm hoping to get enough for a itx z97 board, pentium G3258, and a little 8GB kit of ram.

And for a motherboard tray, I could like cut the one of le terrible Rosewill Redbone.
