NES build 1985-2015 30TH anniversary " NES 3.0"(completed final pics!)

ungreedy

Have you tested the wattage coming from the system during something like firestrike?

valley was pulling a litlle under 130w with the pico psu(g3258) ,I sure that is under 120w now if I still had the g3258. Will try and do some testing with the i5 tonight and report Bach here.

if i could get this at 4.7 at 1.3 I would be very lucky because my current cpu is stable at 4.7ghz at 1.26v

I will push a little bit before I close the case again ,but at stock clocks 3.8ghz turbo I would be happy . going to be doing some undervolting and overclocking tomorrow . I really don't care if I have to run it at stock clocks with a undervolt. I know that's a waste of a K model but I got this chip real cheap .

Wow, you are a lucky mother humper. My G3258 does 4.6 at 1.26v.

Errm, you know cats are pretty damn good at building up static. You shouldn't really have them by computer parts...

My cat is always around my computer, and he was constantly sticking his head in mine and my grandma's when I was building them and testing them with the side panel off. :P

Yep. He was under me when I was getting my Dell hooked back up, trying to shove his head behind my desk.

This morning when I was petting him before I left, he just rammed his head into my leg and started pushing in the direction of my room. xD

My cat yells at me if he can't get on my desk to sit in front of me.

Then I have to kinda tap it two or three times and he gets on his rear and "stands" like a kangaroo to check, and then he jumps up. T-Rex arms included in the kangaroo impersonation. :D

Just got done doing some testing with my i5 and to my surprise it uses less watts than my g3258 on most tasks. skyrim now only takes 100w max now compared my g3258 at 121 watts.I feel that now the system does not get taxed as hard with four cores to handle the work load. unfortunately I could not get the vcore much lower, right now at stock speed it is at 1.05v .temps stay about 8c hotter on load on the i5 .

                i5@3.8ghz-1.05v            g3258@4.0ghz -1.15v

skyrim     100w                                    121w

67c max on prime95 for close to an hour.

I know the g3258 start to get deceiving on wattage use once they are OCed . The 53w rating is for 3.2ghz ,increased voltage and multipliers starts to add up quick for wattage .

couple of graphs I found
