Next gen games could cost 100$

Again, just placeholders, so no one can grab games cheaper then they actually will be, when launched.

if they don't know the actual price then why is Amazon setting it so high?  Logic dictates that $60 is the feasible price to use as place holder..right?

They set it higher then they expect the prices to be so if someone actually pre-orders right now they can refund the extra price he paid. If the pre-orders are priced higher than 60 consumers wouldn't like Amazon asking for more money. This way when people are refunded that money they are more likely to spend it immediately on another game :).

That, and the fact that they don't expect to sell much, prices will be brought down when they know them.

Amazon.co.uk does not charge on pre-orders until the game is about to be shipped, so yes, these are just place holders.

now they are forcing us to resort to piracy_if I have to own 10 games in a year i will spend £1000 approximately that's just ridiculous_I hope pc games wont cost that much_

If you actually read it then you would know that those are not the official prices, they are place holders.

Even though it is a placeholder it is possible that prices will go up with the new gen consoles.

Its how microsoft and sony make their money after all

Please note that Microsoft has yet to announce cost prices for Xbox One products. The price stated above is therefore liable to change prior to the release date. With our Pre-order Price Guarantee, you can order now and if the Amazon.co.uk price decreases between the time you place your order and the release date, you'll be charged the lowest price.

'Nuff said.

Xbox One costs $800?  Who the f*ck would even buy that! You could get a decent mid-range rig with that money

Probably just a place holder but it has to be enough to scare off a few consumers, I mean for that I could build a pc to blow it out of the water

  • 2 weeks later...

What? That doesn't explain why the digital version is more expensive.

1) sorry for the late response, I didn't check the forum for a while and this wasn't pushed to my Email

2) its more expensive because there is physically more stuff that they have to do to bring you the disk. With a download, there is a very minimal amount of stuff they actually have to do. Hope that helps!

i would personally go back to buying my games from the store if all games had colour manuals and the poster that use to always come in the game case

not the black and white manual that says go online for manual. and no poster ones for the same price
