got sick of paying for cheap chairs only for them to break after 12 months. paid £390 for this and its built like a tank and is far comfier than any chair ive had before. Plus it being the DOOM edition makes it sweeter as it matches my setup of being black and red. hardest part about this was getting the box up 2 flights of narrow stairs by myself with a screwed up back...... took me 25 mins and alot of swearing and bruises later. the chair itself took me 15 mins to put together myself.

When a man lies he murders some part of the world
These are the pale deaths
Which men miscall their lives
All this I cannot bear to witness any longer
Cannot the kingdom of salvation
Take me home

Just bought a new fridge. The one decided to not work as intended & keep shit cold. Not as big as the last one (about 100L smaller) but 50% better when it comes to energy efficiency, so that's a win.

~Snipped~

Just wait for this one to last less than 10 years since a lot of kitchen appliances are made cheaply nowadays unfortunately.

At least it's not an LG refrigerator...too many issues with their compressors giving out after 2 years.

Probably one of the stupidest things I've done so far but credit card go brrrrrrrr I guess. Best part is the only one I can download and play is Stray, the rest will absolutely decimate our stupid data cap so I have to wait to bring my PS5 to a friends house and abuse his unlimited cap for a day or two.

Amazon mis priced these drives WD SN850x in the uk at £13.99 ($16.60 in freedom units). Shocked they honored it, I got 4 in total. One is going in my PS5 ready for the day a jailbreak arrives, one is going in my PC and the other 2 can sit in my desk until I get a new M/B with more m.2 ports 😁

Hot damn I wish I had that kind of luck lol, I'm not looking forward to dropping another ~160 on an SSD for my PS5 in the near-ish future.

This just replaced an LG fridge that was going on probably 18 years old if not older. Bought 2nd hand for $200 12 years ago, turns out it was $2,100 new then..

Also Australia has decent consumer law where large ticket items like fridges, freezers, washing machines have an expected life span & if it dies within that time frame the manufacturer has to come good on repair or replacement. I got Sony to fix a TV because of this exact law, even though the TV was outside the warranty by 12 months.

Newer ones made by LG with their "Linear compressors" really suck nowadays and those are the ones to watch out for. They have high failure rates.

I wish the US had those laws instead of haggling with manufacturers to get them to repair anything. There's nothing like appliances built 15 years ago and older that work...Newer stuff from then is just a horrible PITA to deal with, and with most appliances made at the same assembly lines across multiple brands is something you have to research thoroughly.

Not sure if you saw GNs deep dive on the connector. It is what made me comfortable enough to make the jump. A surprising amount of it is a combination of people not plugging it in all the way, taking more force to plug in and the factory connector not clicking when it’s all the way in.
It’ll be my first halo graphics card so we’ll see how much I regret it, but got it at msrp so if I do regret it I can just flip it.

Oh right. Well, the LG was a contender in this size, but it was $100 more & not on sale like this Samsung, which was $300 off for Black Friday sales here.

Australian Consumer Law is great. I'm glad we have it. Not that everyone is aware of it/wants to utilise so companies get away with shit they shouldn't.

Alright so we have a big of a haul for my content studio.

We have, 3 tripods, one with a tablet mount, a phone mount with microphone and included led light, a behringer 8 channel mixer, 10 inch tablet for teleprompter duties, 5 inch camera field monitor, various cables and an led soft light...

Not a bad haul, still a few things needed to be acquired but we are almost fully kitted out.
