My partner pestered me to order her some books, so I went through my own wishlist and bought myself a bunch of stuff as well. Plus, that recent thread about Philip K. Dick made me realize I didn't own the collected short stories beyond the first one.

I particularly love this cover of "The Iron Dream", from the hilarious misspelling of "Adolf" to the image of him riding a futuristic motorcycle. I'm curious if the novel is as good as the premise implies.

I've only read 3 of the 5 HHG2G books.  Was meaning to get around to the last 2, but my kindle broke years ago--and never got back into it.

Valve Steamdeck Docking Station:

Once again @AluminiumTechwas down to purchase it for me since Switzerland isn't blessed by Valve, at least not for their Hardware.

My Steamdeck picked the Dock right up after plugging it in and prompted me for the newest update:

IMG_20221111_200540_1.thumb.jpg.c2c1b8f1b50ea47c3286ee83dbf7840d.jpg

Wait a second ! Two Steamdecks !?!

IMG_20221111_200641_1.thumb.jpg.c1471b6fdabe22aa111ffe4609999224.jpg

You can actually slide the Steamdeck to which ever edge of the device you want and it stays perfectly balanced on the Dock.

Updating the Dock:

I grabbed my second HDMI 2.1 Cable from Club3D from the Storage, routed it through the TV Cabinet and made some space:

IMG_20221111_221745_1.thumb.jpg.e7a46afd06e887b327ee7635610e26f5.jpg

I had to play around a bit in the Display settings on the Steam Deck to figure out how to set the correct resolution and Refresh Rate for the External Display. Unfortunately I can only run my "4K" TV at 1920x1080 but @120Hz when outputting from the Steamdeck.

Also took advantage of the Singles day Sale. Never played a Far Cry Game so I hope at least one of these is actually good:

You can take a look at all of the Tech that I own and have owned over the years in my About Me section and on my Profile.

I'm Swiss and my Mother language is Swiss German of course, I speak the Aargauer dialect. If you want to watch a great video about Swiss German which explains the language and outlines the Basics, then click here.

If I could just play Videogames and consume Cool Content all day long for the rest of my life, then that would be sick.

64 GB of Ram for my NAS (it only had 16 GB before). Now have to decide what to do with the other 16 GB, it's not quite the same timings as any of my other kits. May throw it in another machine anyways and see what happens.

The V2 GN coasters showed up too... I know wrong forum, but I really do like these coasters:

Thats for posting this. I kinda wondered how it would work on a 4K TV. Im waiting for my bonus in December and I think Im going to pick up a deck and dock. My friend has one and pretty much said its worth it. I can think of a few ways I could use the deck.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Ah yes, one of those boards that had support for both DDR2 and DDR3 RAM but you could only use one type.

I decided to try out 0.5mm lead after using 0.7mm for the longest time for schoolwork and the problem with 0.7 is when it gets a "flat spot" on one side of the lead that makes writing very thick. 0.5mm is pretty decent and I didn't want some BIC 0.5mm to use and this pencil feels like quality. I still have boxes of Ticonderoga pencils that I probably should use...

I managed to get a $870 discount trading in my 4 year old oneplus 6 and a $250 refurbrished note 20 i brought off ebay. net trade in is 870-250=620. Added in educational discount and $300 black friday off 512gb model, the net cost after taxes comes out to be 900ish.

image.thumb.png.a086d2c38d5b4e6608fa3fec2daca243.png

I also took advantage of samsung 0% apr financing to pay over 36 months. I couldve brought it outright but with 8% inflation per year, i am literally shorting the American dollars by financing it while keeping the money i wouldve otherwise spent immediately in a high yield savings account to earn interest. Credit is actually a good thing if you know how to use it properly.
