yes, but he went from a 8350 to a 6900k, that is a CPU that cost 1000 USD and has 8 cores, it is a huge upgrade. I don't know or see that many people that go from a pretty entry level CPU to a high end Intel extreme CPU

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

well I guess that you are getting a 4th gen CPU, because you already have the mobo and ram for it.

And then there is me. I have a 4770k and I am looking to upgrade to a 6 core intel CPU or a zen CPU, because more power xD it would cut some time off 3D renders

I wish Z97 ITX boards were still being sold new. There are literally none with M.2 and such. Having one of those would drop 300 bucks off what I end up building to replace my PC at some point.

Is that after 60fps or 120? And yes I have tested this. Only have had two games not capable of stable 60. One because it ran on a single core. The other because alpha/beta.

Just in general; if your CPU is as fast as your GPU, you'll get better frames. I used to have a friend with a 6300 and a GTX970. He couldn't even get stable 60 on GTA V at 1080p Ultra 2xMSAA, only high 50s with stutters.

Entry my ass...it's a great little CPU for scenarios where it can flex all 8 cores and at sub $150, it's pretty damn great
