My idea of getting a bigger single rad was that I can run 2 Xeons and 2-4 gpus on water without having to have a billion fittings and lots of tubes that I would need for 3x 360 rads or 2x 480 rads.  It also means I can use less and larger fans which don't make as much noise. It's not a good rad if you want to have it internally in a case as its big but for my usage it's perfect.

Idk that I have the courage for water cooling currently but someday I might like to try it.

This :D Hesitated at first, since I wasn't sure if my CPU would be able to handle it. Have only spent a few hours in campaign so far, but I love it. I really have to give it to DICE, they nailed it with the WWI setting - creating both some decent "heroic" stories without glorifying the war and giving the player a decent feeling for the horrors that were.

Plus, I'm quite surprised by my 2500 non-k. Combined with a 970, I get a pretty solid 60 fps with dips into the 50's at high settings in 1440p. Guess I will dial that back to medium once online, but it's still pretty solid for a 5 year old CPU. 1440p might as well be to much for the 970, since its VRAM is pretty much pinned at 3.5GB

Just bought this myself today as well. Waiting for it to download...

I envy you, I only have 24GB and I regularly run out of RAM with only 4 VMs running. :(

well yea but y do you run 4 VM's?

1 router, 1 Windows 10, 2 Linux. I usually have 8 of them powered off due to RAM limitations. I'm just to lazy to upgrade it. I should do that now though.

but WHY do you have them? what do you use them for?

One of them is my primary desktop that I use for everything (I'm typing this reply from it), one is a secondary desktop that I use when I need a Linux distro for development or troubleshooting, one is my router for all of my VMs, one is a development server for my company that hosts KVM VMs, one is a development server for my company that hosts OpenVZ containers, one is a Fedora VM I use for testing scripts on RHEL-based OSes, one is a Debian VM I use for testing Debian-based OSes, one is a Damn Small Linux VM I use when all of the CPU cores or disk IO are being used by other VMs, and four of them are a Tahoe-LAFS cluster I was playing around with.

I just ordered another 24GB of RAM and a replacement 300GB SAS drive thanks to this thread so now I can keep more of them powered up at a time. :D

Bought an Asus G75VW gaming laptop off some guy on Craigslist for $100. Screen is broken, but a replacement isn't actually too expensive.
